This January I found a vulnerability in the DS2 server code that lets a malicious user crash a player, even without connecting to them.
BA 2.06 fixes this issue, it's recommended you download it if you want to play online.

Wow, didn't expect to see that. ~1200 players on my #NIGHTREIGN Server Emulator thanks to the ELDEN VINS mod update. Definitely running into some scaling issues, but its hanging on. Thanks to everyone who is online helping test the server.

Since my mod will have weapon skills, and Dark Souls 1 doesn't have FP or an FP bar, I'm canning durability altogether and introducing "weapon art charges." Different weapons will have different amounts of charges available to use. These will refill overtime but prevent spamming.

turns out they put some of the quest speffects starting at ID 9700, which also happens to be the one used to apologize to Patches in ER, so it's just an accident
I was in a discussion about the Flask Heals Allies relic effect, and the topic of its range came up, which seems to be 15 meters, so if any of you were curious, here's what that looks like. You can see Revenant is barely close enough for it, but Wylder is too far away.
Somebody asked me for help with bitmap font creation, for a Persian translation of the game, and ended up giving me a new program to generate bitmap fonts (called bmfont, which is avaiable for free).
I made a new CCM tool to convert fnt to CCM, and the result is SO much better.

Its not great but at least restoring them is simple, since the server only sends which one to turn on and for how long. you can turn them all on at once too, which has a few blank slots currently.
