i think we should have a legal wealth-cap of about 1.5 million dollars per person. that's about 3 times the national mean. i don't think there's a good reason to let anyone have more than 3 times the average.

i would actually appreciate it if you named an individual action or two? i'd like to have a better handle on what specifically he's done that pisses people off so much
newsom has done evil shit. i hate his guts. but you're making it sound like i like everything he's done, which shows that you're the one who's not listening.
democracy is what we have that russia doesn't, and i can't tell if you even care how close we are to losing it.
because no democrat, including newsom, is a threat to democracy the way republicans are. it's that simple.
question for anyone who wants to answer because i'm actually kinda curious what folks will say: what do you hate most about gavin newsom? for me it's that he vetoed SB 1047, a major piece of AI safety regulation.
if gavin newsom gets the nomination i will commit arson in a fit of rage. and then i will campaign for him.

the more i hear the phrase "ripe for abuse" the weirder it seems to me. tender for exploitation. al dente for malfeasance.
One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.
Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.
Be a housing fan.

i just found out both of my senators, both of them democrats, @bennet.senate.gov and @hickenlooper.senate.gov, voted against this. i'm appalled. israel is brazenly trying to ethnically cleanse the gaza strip. i called both their offices to complain. i wish i could do more.
100% Lawful good.
it's wild for me to think about how we've all been trying to picture the exact same doodle/birthday message without getting to actually see it
on the other hand, it makes it seem like we might be right about how dangerous our situation is. and that's terrifying. i really, really, really hope we're wrong.
as time has gone on, i've been watching this way of thinking become more and more common. on one hand, it's kinda comforting. it's nice to know there are so many smart and well-connected people taking the problem seriously.
in 2018 i read βsuperintelligence: paths; dangers; strategiesβ by nick bostrom, and it dramatically changed the way i think about ai. back then i felt very alone. almost no one was thinking about the dangers the way that book successfully encouraged me to.
this is my favorite video in recent memory.

*putting the finishing touches on my Puppy Torture Device* Technology isn't inherently good or evil. It's just a tool. What matters is how you use it.
obviously there's more important things happening, but, man. i thought it was just rumors, i didn't think they'd actually do it. but the folks over at google really are just, deep-throating that boot, huh.
i did not, sorry. the way i made that video was just by going through the whole scene and pausing whenever i got to another instance of the phoneme, and deleting everything since the last one. i did that for every phoneme. it was infinitely more work than it was worth. godspeed.
im planning on going to this tomorrow. in case you haven't heard about it. there's gonna be one in every state capital.
