I like the fact I can miss a day or two in Pokopia and the game will remain as I left it. In AC I feel like I need to check in every day or I may miss something. (I do love AC but that aspect of AC can be exhausting.)

Gimmick 2 was released on Switch in 2024. It’s a brand new game but actually a sequel to a 1992 NES game, which is a cool fact in itself. But don’t let the cute art style fool you. This puzzle platformer will knock you on your butt…over and over. 😂

Kaboom…would love to have a go at that game using paddles today. That was fun back in the day.

Notice I said “new” games. Observation had nothing to do with upgrades, NS2 editions, or patches, lol.

There could be a lot worse ways to head into a weekend. 😊

I’m pleasantly surprised with the way Nintendo transitioned from NS1 to NS2. With the huge NS1 user base, I expected them to drag their feet (like Sony/Xbox) on making new games NS2 exclusive. Outside of what had been already announced prior to NS2, they largely haven’t.

Anticipation is what keeps life fun. 😊

So far so good…really good. If you’ve ever played Dragon Quest Builders that should give you a good idea.

Same. I’ve played RE7 before, but not RE8. I plan to play 8, then 9, then revisit 7! That deal is the kind that will get me to take action, lol.

That was probably the best one…definitely my favorite because of what you pointed out out…the acting. 😂

Pokémon Pokopia…At any given time there are 10 different things you could be working on. What feels like 20 minutes of gaming in reality was an hour! This has the potential of getting me to invest mega hours into it because this is a world that’s simply fun to be in.

This promotional video tape for Donkey Kong Country worked like a charm, not that I needed much convincing. I remember forcing myself to finish a college paper before I drove to the store to pick it up on launch day, lol. Looks like I even still have a completed save file from decades ago!

I’ve only played 30 minutes and I can already tell Pokopia is going to greatly appeal to me. 🙂

I think the main difference is additional multiplayer content, which doesn’t interest me. But there is also some additional single player content too that I’m hoping proves fun.

Nah, that was a couple days ago. Just got off a boat.

While everyone else is playing Resident Evil 9, I decided to play Resident Evil 8 instead and save 9 for afterwards. I had forgotten just how good these games are. It’s nice not having to dedicate 50 hours to get through them, but there’s replay value if you do want more.

Teleroboxer on Virtual Boy…according to my stats I’ve boxed 111 rounds this week with a professional record of 3 wins and 42 losses! 😂 I’m actually proud I’ve gotten to the 4th fighter. Game is pretty tough.

I liked the art style and puzzle aspects of Kena but I didn’t like the combat where you’re are stuck fighting waves of enemies until they are gone. Game is tough although I think there were difficulty options.

Alright! It’s time to get these March releases rolling! Not that I’m hurting for games…still deep in Mario Tennis Fever, Resident Evils, and Virtual Boy games but the journey through Pokemon Pokopia begins today!

Super Castlevania IV….I cannot think about this game without the music getting stuck in my head…so good! The rotating stages were also eye opening back in the day.

It’s funny in that if you listed all those games out prior to the month beginning you would probably think there’s no way I’m playing that much!

I had a tablet full of passwords. For some reason I remember the front page being full of Super Black Bass (SNES) passwords 😂

There’s no doubt I’m not great either. I can eventually get through most games but it takes me a while. Doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy them. 😊

Not really a preference. I would say I look more forward the first person Metroids but tend to enjoy both types about the same when I look back.
