I don't plan to talk much about how Pokémon FireRed / LeafGreen Switch version works emulation wise. I still did a little look though:
- Still using Sloop as the GBA emulator
- The ROMs are actually heavily modified and rebuilt
- Seems to have heavy code changes with reliance on emulator hacks

i always think this when i see people in pokemon directs getting upset about there being talk about there esports stuff, merch, mobile games like sleep etc
pokemon is more than the games now and to a certain extent in the future i won't be shocked if it tries to be part of everyones life in some way
