Cowabunga! Iβm way excited to be writing cutscene music for the upcoming VR game "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City", supplementing the virtuosic 90s techno score by Alex May.
Stay tuned for the gameβs release later this year!

Better late than never! I'm pleased to release the album for the feature film "Home Room" starring Busy Philipps, Erika Christensen, Holland Taylor and Victor Garber.
Releasing this album has been on my "to do" list for an embarrassing length of time. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm pleased to be an ASCAP Plus award recipient this year! Thanks as always to ASCAP for acknowledging music outside of the spotlight as well as within.
I'm happy to have submitted this album to CDBaby for distribution! This one is rather overdue - the film was released in 2002 - but as it predominantly features live musicianship it's aged rather well. More details once it's available!

Cue of the Week: This weekβs music from "Escaping Wonderland" accompanies a surreal landscape of images and echoing memories where Molly (a.k.a. the player) navigates her own psyche, literally building a bridge to recovery.

It's Christmas in November! I was delighted to score this charming holiday movie directed by Matthew Toronto. (I had bonus fun using "Carol of the Bells" as a musical leitmotif to underscore small-town crime.) Coming to solve your mysteries and boost your cheer on November 4th.
Cue of the Week: Hereβs another minigame cue from "Escaping Wonderland", this one a smidge of vibraphone-fronted jazz. Echoing the mood of the activity, the feeling here is playful and a touch eccentric.

Cue of the Week: Written for the mobile strategy game "Wizard Ops Tactics", this weekβs music selection accompanies a beach level with a pirate-y flavor.

Cue of the Week: This weekβs music selection accompanies one of Escaping Wonderlandβs mini-games, which advance the story and also allow a bit of artistic self-expression. To keep the mood light and fun, I wrote a bouncy piece with a retro game-show vibe.

Cue of the Week: this music was written for Erik Loyerβs top-selling interactive art app βStrange Rainβ β a blend of atmospheric simulation and interactive fiction.

Happy first birthday to "Escaping Wonderland"!
The post below contains celebratory discount codes on the game, and its precursor "Down the Rabbit Hole".
And links to every imaginable means of listening to the OST can be found at escapingwonderlandost.mikemusic.com .
Cue of the Week: In "Escaping Wonderland" the player spends a good portion of the game underground. Gradually their ascent brings them to the surface, as they arrive a sunny and picturesque village. This atmospheric cue is meant to convey the change of mood and scenery.

Cue of the Week: Hereβs another village music cue from "Escaping Wonderland", this one with a lightly playful character.

Cue of the Week: This weekβs selection is one of three cues for the village biome in "Escaping Wonderland".

Cue of the Week: This cue from the OST of "Escaping Wonderland" falls into the creepy/disquieting/whatβs-that-crawling-on-your-arm school of game underscore.

Filmmaker George Adams recently cleaned house in prep for a move to Spain, unearthing this trophy, which he kindly sent my way.
I am indebted to filmmakers like George who spring for live musicians in their film scores. The artistic expressiveness added to the film always pays back the investment.
Cue of the Week: This music from "Escaping Wonderland" accompanies a game level with some clever time-travel problem solving, and is meant to evoke some of the supernatural flavor of the experience.

Weird, as it's not even visible frontal nudity.
Cue of the Week: "The Mouse Witch"
This is my second favorite piece of music from "Escaping Wonderland": a mysterious theme for a mouse enchantress.

Cue of the Week: In the game "Escaping Wonderland", the player needs to negotiate with several teen mice, who have adopted a rather risk-indifferent lifestyle. This weekβs music accompanies the mice with a dark carnival tune.

Cue of the Week: This week's music selection from "Escaping Wonderland" accompanies the mischievous puzzle-solving happenings in the game's estate biome.

Cue of the Week: From the "Escaping Wonderland" soundtrack, this weekβs music selection accompanies a region inhabited by rebellious teen mice. The score reflects their blasΓ© attitude with a theme for solo whistler.

Cue of the Week: In the game "Escaping Wonderland", available for finer virtual reality headsets everywhere, the player ascends by means of an elevator. Naturally the score includes elevator music.
