So, I was thinking about this album last night. How Like A Winter were a gothic doom metal band with only 1 album, and then they just disappeared. I got this back in 2003 on a lark and fell in love with it. Relistening I think it holds up pretty well.

If you think about what America has been from a historical standpoint, on the world stage it has literally always stood for everything the GOP says it is. They're not rebranding it - the American hegemon has always been an invasive force hellbent on destroying every culture it touches.
Back to the metal though. Moonspell is a band that I listened to a lot in my teen years. Wolfheart in particular is an album that I'll always cherish - an absolute nostalgia rush. Huge atmosphere, good amount of diversity in the writing.

To build off my last post a bit, obviously more representation of people on the spectrum in children's media would be a great thing. I'd enjoy seeing more of that. I think healthy representation could help break negative stereotypes. It's just not a thing that is easy to represent visually on a toy.
Since it keeps coming up in my feed. I mostly don't care about autistic Barbie. However, I think the issue was trying to visually represent behavioral/social queues. Headphones and fidget spinners aren't signs of autism. Play and dialogue can be though. Literally any Barbie can be on the spectrum.

Rest In Power, Bob Weir. I was never the biggest deadhead, admittedly, however he was a great talent and a very genuine person. His influence cannot be understated, especially in the world of improvisational guitar. My condolences to everyone effected by this loss.
A bit of a throwback. Chorder is one of those bands that has been djenting the djont for a long time that I never see mentioned. Well worth going back through their discography if you're into the style though. They have some fun lighter stuff too.
