I grew up learning that Israel is "surrounded by enemies" so itโs a miracle we got to survive that we must serve in (1/8)

Sarah Kendzior Sounds Alarm on Trumpโs Calculated Iran Move
YouTube video by The Mark Thompson Show
"Trump has no ideological commitment. He likes his foreign policy 'one and done': kidnap Venezuela's prez, drop a MOAB on Afghanistan. He sees it like reality TV: these are plot twists in his season finales. Iโm worried the war on Iran is a series finale โ for Earth."

Everyone knows there will be energy market disruptions but how much will it affect inflation?
Good to remember this rule of thumb from Goldman Sachs:
every $10 increase in oil prices will increase headline inflation by 20-30 basis points.
ie Will it cause a 2022 style inflation surge? No.

Summarising the Israeli governmentโs position, Citrinowicz said: โIf we can have a coup, great. If we can have people on the streets, great. If we can have a civil war, great. Israel couldnโt care less about the futureโ.โ.โ. [or] the stability of Iran.
โThat is a point of difference between us and the US. I think [Washington is] are more concerned about nation-building and threats to their regional partners,โ he added.

Some of Australiaโs biggest data centre operators have more than doubled their reported carbon emissions over the past five years, as the exponential growth of the sector leads to a major rise in demand on the power grid and puts pressure on the governmentโs climate agenda.
Top data centre operators Amazon, AirTrunk and CDC all declared annual scope two emissions increases of more than 20 per cent in 2024-25 and more than 100 per cent since 2020-21, according to new figures published by the Clean Energy Regulator.
AirTrunk founder Robin Khuda told The Australian Financial Review Business Summit on Tuesday that the governmentโs AI plan was โpretty goodโ, but it needed to think more holistically about how the nation would build the infrastructure required to power it.

The technology industry has argued that the energy demands of data centres will support the rollout of renewable power because they will sign the long-term power purchase agreements needed to make projects financially viable.
The emissions of Australia's top data centre operators have doubled over the past few years. You can see why Amazon Australia fought so hard to try and keep these numbers hidden.......

Ep 07 - War with China? - Media Watch
Nine Newspapers' series on war with China within three years is criticised as hysterical and hyperbolic.
It's now 3 years since Nine published its Red Alert series that predicted Australia would be at war with China by now. ABC Media Watch had a look at the claims made at that time in 2023. #auspol www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/e...

Just like rule of law, the constitution ultimately is just a social agreement between two parties that see the world similarly. American fascists understood this, and wielded it expertly to undermine the constitution and rule of law to the point where they became a force that exists in name only.
