Had a few friends in the Board Game design space who have already left the US or are trying to figure out how to do so because of all this. It's sad and terrifying.

Just took that AI vs Human writing quiz we see posted all over the place. Only picked one AI, and it was a more modern author. I'm not sure if that makes me a better judge of writing, or if it points to modern writing just becoming more homogenius and thus naturally more like AI outputs.
If you don't know what you want, then you need to at least work out what you don't want, and eventually it might spark the inspiration to get where you really want to be. Do it a lot in boardgame design. The hard part is sometimes you realize what you want doesn't work with the rest of what you had.
Dame Judi Dench is amazing in that show. Such wonderful awkwardness.
Which is fair, but sometimes it's not the rulebook that is wrong, and not rewatching out for clarification can hurt the reputations of everyone involved. Designers and publishers make mistakes, but so do lots of players and reviewers.
Alaska is such a beautiful and strange world of extremes. I miss it sometimes, but I do not miss the lack of sunlight during most of the winter.
Been looking at Cartography for a bit. Need to finally pick it up.
Sometimes it is a bad rulebook or a mistranslation, but even then they should reach out so that the publisher/designers can look at improving their rulebook.
The review industry for boardgames is so odd compared to any other industry.
Honored that our game, Winter Rabbit, was on the list, but the email they sent out also managed to list a different publisher and URL link. Though they were quick to respond to our email to get that corrected.
It was officially announced at GAMA yesterday. Winter Rabbit is a finalist for the Origins award in the light strategy category. Super excited for this honor.
If you haven't played it yet, check your local game store. Or order it from our website
David put a post up on our Blog digging a bit more into the game play of Mirror Agents.

Backed this one immediately. Love everything about it, and love the original system book. Though still haven't had a chance to really play it.
Some local friends of ours here in Oklahoma are in the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. You should check them out.

You can get notified of the launch over on Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/941...
The Mirror Agents Kickstarter is coming in April. One of our graphics folks threw together this quick teaser for us. Love what they did with the logo reveal. The campaign will go live on April 7th.
The follow-me page for Mirror Agents on Kickstarter has reached 400 folks! Just a few more weeks until we launch. And with early funding always so important in Crowdfunding, we hope you will follow us if you are interested in the game.

I'm now more focused on narrative systems like PbtA systems and FATE. But I really enjoyed 4e back in the day.
4e gets a bad rap because it was so different in some ways from previous D&D incarnations, but it was a very fun and easy to learn system at the time that helped bring a lot of new people to the game and brought some old folks, like myself, back to the game.
David got interviewed about our games.
Jane Jensen and Roberta Williams of Sierra Online need to get more credit for what they both did in Adventure games in the 80s and 90s
Judex has a pretty good claim to one of the first masked superheroes period. He predates all comic heroes and even Zorro. Only the Scarlet Pimpernel predates him that I know of.
We got in this fun animation from our graphic designer to help advertise Mirror Agents, which will be coming to Kickstarter in April.

This is also why I feel rulebooks need to be written not just to teach, but also to act as reference guides so people can look up things. Which is always going to happen.
I love the showing of inspirations. We have done this with our two solo RPGs. Gives people instant cultural touchstones on what kind of experience they should expect.

@indierift.bsky.social posted a short on their YouTube channel about Churrascaria. You can pick up our crazy game of gluttony on Amazon, from our webstore, or ask your local game shop to carry it.

Be happy you did. It is indeed exhausting. But he seems to have left Dice Tower again. Also the fact that I mostly disengaged from Dice Tower long ago continues to feel like the right choice.
Between the uncanny valley humans and all the weird textures and meetings, that trailer gave more of a horror vibe than it did a historic epic.
Sleeves are a bit harder/more expensive to produce. So you don't really see them being done by independents the way you do playmats. Dragonshield has their custom sleeve maker, but no money goes to the artists from that.
Clove is just so strong that you have to be easy with it. Can easily over power. But I find a dash adds a nice touch to a lot of cobblers and dessert bakes.
