Eek. I really like this.
A self aware person (who is really not him!) would post this and it would be cool.
He will be deeply offended.
Says everything you need.

Religious zealots always cherry-pick. I mean, just once, couldn't they notice that Satan in The Book of Revelation is typically characterised as an orange Beast who loves gold?

I think cancel culture might have been invented by the first Scary movie. I remember a “she gets raped by a ghost” skit, no one found that funny.
Not because it was edgy. But because it was shite.

I always find it so reassuring and fascinating how naturally empathetic young children are.
Kind of reassures you about human nature.

I’m kind of surprised he didn’t just come straight out and tell her the first time she asked. He still feels the need to try and couch it.
Wonder how long that will last?

Quick reminder Misery (dir Rob Reiner 1990) is on at 10pm BBC 2, also a reminder it opens with this stone cold classic playing.

Yeah. There always has been something particular vicious about how rival groups on the left (or centre left) go for each other. You can even look at how the Labour Party hates some of its own (or ex) members. They were more anti Corbyn than they were against Sunak.

That’s true. My experience of it is really based on Scotland where the SNP and Labour are very similar in the society they want to build (with one very key difference). And they hate each other more than any two other parties.
It does seem unique to the left.

There is a group, maybe small, but not insignificant, who like what he says.
With the non msm (social media algorithms) will amplify it to people who want to hear it, or susceptible to it.

Just listened to his speech. It was a call to arms against Labour.
They hate each other. They will scratch their eyes out while the Tories and Reform will cozy up.
Farage gave Johnson his victory, the Tories will do the same.
That should be very scary.

That’s perhaps fair, but it still happened, and give him the culture war ground he wants - which he’ll get in a GE and they will lap it up.

There is an issue. On the left parties tend not to move - Labour won’t copy the greens - they attack. It will get very bitter and very acrimonious.
Probably just putting voters off.

He doubled the Reform vote, came second and that was without a lot of this pish.
He’ll be deployed as a national spokes person at the next election where he will spout this codswallop all over the campaign.
It’s going to be incredibly grim.

Does he not mean working class - Cameron presented as upper middle, Blair as Middle class and plenty more as upper class. It’s the few who presented as working class. Major, quite rightly, mines that.

Cats, if they were humans, would be wonderful, unknowable bastards. But the flip side is humans will never have as soft and loving as a cat when they decide they want to show affection.
It’s the trade we make with them.
Enjoy.

The cat know what it knows and is asserting control. There is no point in trying to stop this. The cat will always win.
Best give in now, enjoy its affection when it is willing to give it and allow it its space when it wants it.
Please try not to equate this relationship to a human relationship.

It is fantastic. When the T rex gets to the city, it’s the peak of the whole series.
