Regarding stylized, sharp-toothed grins: Something I see often-- that some people, including the artists themselves may question-- is the little triangles some people put along the lip of grins. Sometimes, their placement is seemingly random, leading me to think people don't know what they represent... A gum-line! A gum-line can be used to imply individual teeth, without actually isolating them. Additionally, it can be used to help push an expression, alongside creased corners of the lips and negative space between the teeth and interior of the mouth. Due to implying individual teeth instead of outlining them all, the result is also less visually distracting. As a result, I recommend these stylization tips!
