Thanks again John! Lovely.
I think it says "persecutions against catholics urged by Calvinist protestants".
What proper progressives should be pointing out is that no religion should have any role in politics and.legislation, which should instead be based on academically established evidence, and already argued political principles. We care for justice because it is right, not because "jesus" did.
Leave aside the irony of Polly urging anyone to stick to their socialist principles, let's focus on her religious illiteracy. There is no such thing as a "true"christian. This religion, like others is simply a whole bunch of sects cherry-picking bits from an indeterminate set of texts and traditions
I'm worried about the rationale for referring to this thousand year old scandal in response to the current misattributions. What is your point here?
Disappointed to see Michael wood's name on this.
But also to systematically put out of business smaller locally owned companies who might be trying to sell something more like real food.
Interesting analogy. The story of one extraordinarily dickish member is used to hide (one rotten apple) the fact.that the whole structure is extraction.and exploitative, using trashy ingredients, poorly treated staff, mass production techniques and.shady advertising not only to sell a bad product...
Which one?
The NHS refuses to assess and diagnose us, and sends us to these private providers, whose diagnoses and prescriptions it apparently doesn't trust, and then refuses the tests and support it says are required to keep the prescribing safe. Who thought this up?
Sausage?
This is great! A real new direction, away from the endlessly rehashed stuff in lots of "crusades" studies. Good luck!
They've taken his passport to make sure.
Hurrah! One of the greatest.
Also very mad at a subset of the sector which decided to cooperaye with this commercialisation, including the dreadful fees regime, because they banked on leveraging kudos, exclusivity and international sales, to keep themselves out of trouble, and sold the rest of us out.
DR WEBBERLEY RESPONDS Have You Had Your Say About The Cass Review Yet? 120 People Already Have. Iam collecting testimony on the real impact of the Cass Review. 120 responses are in. We need yours.
I am doing this for two reasons. First, because these voices were not included in the Cass Review itself, and they should have been. • Second, because I have referred Dr Hilary Cass to the General Medical Council, and I want the GMC to understand the real-world impact of her work. Your testimony will form part of that referral.
Helen Webberley, who has reported Cass to the GMC, wants to hear how you have been affected by the #CassReview.
Please take a moment to do this, it's so important that someone hears actual testimony / this is available for the for the GMC to take into account.

Isn't it faintly worrying that university governance should be a political football? You can celebrate this change, but what will the next incumbent do?
I wish!!
What comfort can I send?
Anyone else remember years ago being at Leeds IMC when in the armour and fighting tactics seminar chaired by the Swiss guy with a whistle?
Elon Musk's net worth, valued at over $450 billion to $500 billion in late 2025/early 2026, exceeds the combined wealth of the bottom 50% of American households (fact check it).
So who's got "your money"? It certainly isn't immigrants, though Elon Musk (born South Africa 1971) *is* an immigrant.
There have been trad protestants doing stuff like this for generations. It isn't new and it isn't necessarily related to the local political troubles. And as most protestants would claim theirs was the true church before it got messed up by the Romanists, it also isn't "borrowing" anything.
I rather think they can do what they like if the home office makes regulations.
What a shame she's not in a position to do something about this problem!!
But will passport control let them through?
That was in no way the start of it!
Our last president bit one spent the.first couple of months in offfice systematically.meeting everyone in the place. We all got to give a 2 minute pitch about our work, and have a short general chat. He remembered my name and role, and was often seen around campus. Star.
Any mileage in some of us trying to join in?
