@dave-almighty
I am what you get when you try to carve God from the wood of your hunger. Scientist 1: how important is that small Beetle with the elongated rostrum or snout? Scientist 2: oh that? It’s very important, in fact it is a necessary Weevil. #GoSteamers
Even when he starts as a one of three in midfield he’s still left biased.
If Slot nails having a central 10 to the mast for the rest of the season he will be gone in summer. Our midfielders cannot play with only two who can regain it behind a front four who cannot press/regain it. It would be crazy
No. I think he will finally be more left side starting with the freedom to drift. Gakpo will go out of the side, Hugo will start as will Mo. I think Slot is seeing that we need three central to win it back.
For a huge chunk of my life this was my absolute favourite film.
Still top 10
I hope they keep the “heart” of it in the remake. Saying it’s a non stop action flick, John Wick with swords, makes me slightly concerned.
This is why I muted you.
Ryan was absolutely superb last night.
Dom is wasted at right back but it actually worked.
Mac10 is looking better & Jones never misplaced a pass and scored/was a goal threat.
I don’t think the “double pivot” is a consideration until we see what the opponent do. Wolves sat with five back - single.
Hegseth asked about Russia helping Iran to target Americans:
"We're not concerned about that... The only ones that need to be worried right now are Iranians that think they're going to live."
A grotesquely indiscriminate threat against the entire Iranian population.
I mean, so does everyone else - and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone right now who's dismissing Gorton and Denton as an unrepresentative one-off.
Naby suffered from Nunezitis. Pre there arrival they were so hyped by all and sundry, Nunez was our Haaland and Naby was at Kantes level.
Naby, due to constant injury, never fully got there, but as soon as he was fit he was in the side and operated at such a high level, we won if he played.
Like Xabi said. A slide tackle is you correcting a misjudgement.
Watch how Peps best City side with tiny players used to get the ball back so quickly and with zero fuss - they know when to nip the ball away and where to put it so the opponent can’t regain it.
Thiago did that.
A fit Naby did.
The best have an innate appreciation of timing. It’s the bit you can’t teach, it’s why certain athletes seem to have so much more time.
If you read the flight of any ball (cricket, rugby, tennis etc) earlier than other players, you have them.
Fowler wasn’t psychic, he read the flight way earlier.
I’ve never enjoyed the pure technical side of the game more than when watching Thiago.
That deft little shuffle and suddenly he’s away with the ball. No pace, no overwhelming strength, just balance and timing.
Not sure I’ve seen a smoother footballer than Flo Wirtz.
He glides around the pitch like a seabird looking for a nesting site on a cliffs edge, buffeted by the breeze he drifts wither he will, all unperturbed.
Yes Robbo ❤️
As someone else has said, he needs to stay at the club in the academy set up when he’s done and his phasing out needs to be handled with significantly more class than it has been.
Deeply love that Andy Robertson post-match complimented Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni's skillset and effort level but also said that both were "a credit to their families." Delightful stuff.
He’s still the best left back at the club and he should have been phased out with way more class than has happened.
All the “point to prove players” excelled. Jones, Gomez and Robbo.
Gakpo looks lost. He’s the ideal player to bring on at 65minutes when 2-0. He’s not a leader, that’s just not him.
Just wanted to say that I am eternally grateful that Andrew Henry Robertson MBE did not sign for Spurs in January and that he remains a brilliant association footballer for the mighty Liverpool FC. I hope this continues for many years henceforth.
Here endeth my thoughts on the matter #LFC #YNWA
Give Robbo the contract he wants with a pathway to academy coaching
Absolutely. He needs to be welded into the foundations of the club. He gets us.
He’s still the best left back at the club and therefore the league. Let’s him phase out with a bit of class then have him work his way up the academy system.
Five years, Robbo as Assistant Manager.
It was thoroughly disabled and made a laughing stock under the irresponsible and incompetent Johnson. It's been proven he's been responsible for COVID deaths, hasn't it? Shut up, stop sh*t stirring and live off your interest. Weirdo.

Remember reading all the wools last year: “Robbos finished”.
State of you. By a distance he’s still the best left back at the club and by proxy in the league. Kerkez will have his day but the sun should not be setting on Robbo at Liverpool yet.
Also, don’t show me a stats based retort, it’s wool.
Gakpo uses Slots hoop as a telescope to look into the bumhole Nebula.
They then eat crepes and watch AEW.
Again, how would you substantiate such a claim other than the eyeball test, anecdote and a wealth of shared views from different groups all arriving at the same conclusion?
What a big silly you are.
Can you tell me how to show you that? What would represent it? What metric could I use to demonstrate that this season Arsenal are feigning injury more.
Is there an xG like stat? xT (extra twattyness)?
You’ve assumed something, look silly, now you’re back peddling.
Cant argue with that.
Liverpool in a match I couldn’t give a shit about:
Ali
Jones, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson
Ryan, Mac10
Szbobby
Salah, Gakpo, Ngumoha.
Subs: Mamardashvili, Konate, Kerkez, Wirtz, Chiesa, Ekitike, Frimpong, Nyoni, Morrison
Not about set pieces. You’re having the wrong argument.
Set pieces have been an under explored resource that you’ve exploited.
Of late, Arsenal players are feigning a ton of injuries when leading. Raya, a player I really like, made a show of himself doing it.
Arsenal aren’t the only team to do it.
We played a game recently, Newcastle at Anfield. In the first 30 minutes the ball was barely in play. It was a series of corners, goal kicks, free kicks, throw ins and kick offs. No football happened, it was a miserable watch. Then a game happened and we wellied them.
Teams sit deep against us.
