Fox News using the body of a service member who sacrificed his life for his country to scrub the image of an incoherent narcissist who lied to avoid his own service. Disgraceful.

The thing that's most damning about this from a media ethics standpoint (yes, I know) is that most of the audience and Trump supporters probably wouldn't have noticed the ball cap. But the people at Fox News knew it was a bad look and they made an active potter box decision to run the old footage.
People who love war are sociopaths.
that the Trump administration is trying to shut down a leading AI company because itβs unwilling to develop autonomous murder systems is terrifying, and should be of grave concern to everyone in the world
Apparently the House Intel Committee head is so dumb he can't even get the (also false) talking poing that Iran has been at war with us for 47 years right.
sounds like he means Iranians generally?
Wow -- as first spotted by @BadFoxGraphics on X, Fox & Friends this morning used *old footage of a previous dignified transfer* to mislead their audience about the fact that Trump wore a baseball cap during the one yesterday
Israeli strikes on Lebanon have killed 394 people over the past week, including 83 children and 42 women, the country's health minister has said, after Israel expanded its attacks to a hotel in central Beirut today

Though it is day, the sun cannot be seen in Tehran today because of all the smoke following the US and Israel bombing Tehran's oil refineries. People on the ground describe it as armageddon. History will not forgive Reza Pahlavi, Masih Alinejad, Nazanin Boniadi, and all other "leaders" who tricked Iranians into thinking this war would set them free.
Oh my god: this is *daytime* in Tehran.
An ADSBx map showing C104 flying from Florida to Watertown SD late last night.
Ugh. The brand-new Coast Guard jet Kristi Noem was using before she got fired flew down to Florida late Friday -- presumably for the "Shield of the Americas" announcement -- and then returned to Watertown, SD, late Saturday. So she's still using it!!
Per refugees likely to flee to EU - this mirrors refugees fleeing Syria due to Putin's bombing schools, hospitals, & other civilian infrastructure like we're now doing in Iran & the current refugees will be weaponized the same way - to strengthen far right parties in EU, serving trump & Putin goals.
Too many have simply dismissed this woman's allegations out of hand because she's not a perfect victim. Excellent job by local reporters.

huh, makes the whole 25 year period when the Shah was our top ally kind of awkward
New video footage shows a US Tomahawk missile hitting an IRGC facility in Minab, Iran, on Feb 28, showing for the first time that the US struck the area. The footage also shows smoke already rising from the vicinity of the girlsβ school, where 175 people were reportedly killed, including children.
Tarrio is, quite literally, a pardoned terrorist.

And here, if you're still following, the link.
I sprung for this insanely wasteful case bc it really needed to be public. Normally I'd ask for contributions. Instead, consider making a contribution to a bail fund or a mutual aid fund.

Particularly funny he brags about being an undefeated MMA fighter. He had 3 fights. THREE.
Voters need to hold Dems to their promise if trust-busting but also only way to get any such legislation to stick is to reform the courts, particularly that extremist SCOTUS.
on the upcoming episode of neon liberalism, @jamellebouie.net argues that the basic strategy of Trump II was speed: move fast, consolidate power, and give america a fait accompli. instead we've seen friction, backlash, and now--big players starting to realize that trump won't be president forever
Itβs worth emphasizing that the Supreme Court has propped up this presidential lawlessness.
When Congress enacted limits on presidential power in 1973, it included an enforcement provision. If the president said thereβs an βemergency from attackβ and Congress disagreed, it could order troops home.
things every single republican president of your lifetime has done
- started a war in the middle east
- completely destroyed the economy
I put this thread on Trump's hypocritical and duplicious claims of Iran's 2020 election interference into a longer form article this evening.
The real story is that foreign govts try to "interfere" all the time. In 2020 and 2024 we had mechanisms to catch them, call them out, & mitigate damage. Now, those mechanims are gone & the Trump admin would prefer to exploit "foreign interference" to justify a federal take-over of elections.
Sebastian Gorka at the 2019 CPAC convention: βthey want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved.β
Just to say a bit more about this: military personnel get to choose which school or program to attend, though it has to meet certain guidelines the military sets up. What Hegseth is saying is that: if you, an officer, think that the program that best meets your needs is at e.g. Princeton, tough.
New β I spoke to eight trans people in Kansas about the new state law that invalidated their driverβs licenses overnight, whatβs itβs like to live there right now, plus details of two DMV emails exclusively obtained by The Handbasket that shed light on the lawβs chaotic and cruel rollout:
The people leading the U.S. war on Iran are a former βFox & Friendsβ guest and a former βFox & Friendsβ host.
While the bombs fall on the regime and its opponents alike, Trump and Netanyahu say that they come as liberators. Only they won't be the ones who do the dirty work. Encouraging the IRGC to sit on its hands and receive 'immunity' is the latest tell that the Iranian people's desires are irrelevant.
