Millennials turn to alternative homebuilding methods.
My editor and I decided to push my book release to next year, which just gives me that much more time to conduct research at all the bars, taverns, and public drinking spaces of Virginia π

If I had more than a handful of strands, I might not be as bored with my current hair lol
As there seems to be some confusion, I do not have a full head of gray hair. As you can see from my profile pic, itβs still quite dark. But in person you can see that a handful of grays have come in throughout the crown of my head. I appreciate the helpful suggestions!
I have a great stylist who is very honest about what will or wonβt work for my hair π€·π»ββοΈ as someone with super fine hair, there arenβt a lot of cuts that work for me.
I love my hair. Iβm just bored with it lol
I spent decades dying my hair. A couple of years ago, I decided to let my natural color grow out & embrace the grays coming in. Last year, I trimmed off the last of the remaining dyed hair. While I love not having the upkeep of dyed hair, I need a change & am considering dyeing it again. HALP ππ«£
On the one hand, I appreciate that my recent bout of ADHD hyper focus enabled me to add nearly 9,000 words to my book draft in 2 days. On the other hand, Iβm dehydrated, my neck is stiff, and my head is absolutely killing me. 0/10. Do not recommend. β οΈ
After taking an (unwelcome) hiatus from my forthcoming boom about the history of Virginiaβs taverns, inns, & public houses, I finally dove back in and added over 3,000 words today.
My brain is mush. Please clap. β οΈ

If you need me before April, no you donβt. π 2 classes, 2 conferences, a work chapter, teaching, a book review, a GAS client, my mom visiting, a short-term research fellowship, etc. all in the March. Whyyyyyyy?! π
So, I used it as part of my response and some guy tried to shame me for it, laughing about how βonly shallow chicks watch movies like that.β No idea where he is now. But fuck that guy. (2/2)
Remembering this one time in grad school we were discussing something in a class that made me think of the My Big Fat Greek Wedding quote βThe man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants.β (1/2)
