Definitely. Critical stuff that needs to be plastic can still be plastic. That would increase how futuristic it looks and feels, instead of coming off as chintzy.

I dream of a world with no plastics.

Everything it touches now can be paper, string, wax, glass, rubber, wood, enamel, or aluminum.

Producing lasting, ornate, reusable things would be much better

I’m enjoying the dawning horrified realization vibes as it becomes clear that both centralized governance/moderation by people, and decentralized governance/moderation by protocols, mean not getting what you want 100% of the time.
