happy friday, here’s a miniature 80s horror prism sticker vending machine i made from scratch 💚
小津安二郎が戦時中に制作した『戸田家の兄妹』と『父ありき』は、戦後のGHQ検閲により一部シーンが削除されました。削除前の内容を読んでいくと、かなり印象が変わるかもしれません。
My grandfather was the Commander of the Colombian Air Force.
Last watch: Sergio Leone’s epic western with an electric central performance from Henry Fonda and a powerful Ennio Morricone score. It tips its hat to so many Hollywood westerns while offering many evocative moments of its own. #Filmsky boxd.it/dnwEVh

New review: PLOT OF FEAR (1976)
"Paolo Cavara’s bawdy, irreverent follow-up to his earlier Giallo BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA. Someone is killing members of a sex club, leaving a page from a book of fairy tales next to each body."

'Uchu kara no messeji'
Yes it's a self confessed Star Wars rip off but I love this crazy Japanese sci-fi. The makers had seen Star Wars the previous year in the USA but made sure that their film opened in Japan five months before Lucas' epic. A joy to watch.
I should have the unplugged DVD somewhere I should really dig it out. You’re constantly reminding me of old CDs I have somewhere but haven’t thought about for years. Appreciate it.
Maybe because I watched anime for so long, Hitomi Yaida's vocals don't offend my ears. (I once read a review refer to her as the Japanese Shakira?) Sharp and textured but unique. But I also can't understand the 1st (English) verse in her classic "my sweet darlin'" (2000) without captions. #JPop
Complain. I've seen it work!
Sheryl Lee in TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME (1992), a film by David Lynch.
Love how much Giamatti loves horror
Quite the change from yesterday’s wind and rain. There’s even some blue sky visible though the mud still remains!
Terror at Tenkiller movie poster
I've gotten to the point in my comfort viewing of obscure 1980s slasher movies where I find these extravagantly boring films to be the horror equivalent of that meme about the Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea bear.
Photograph of a suspiciously blue sky this morning. I'm sure the rain will be back any minute. #SpéirGorm #SpéirGhorm #Ireland
Who IS she
Totally, I’m used to having videos on multiple languages on my feed, that’s how I want it. At least give people a universal switch to turn it off by default but they intentionally haven’t allowed one. (Better yet, allow people to configure: sub/dub and what languages from/to etc.)
Clearly no QA has been done on it 🤦🏻♂️
Three people (myself included) seated around a table playing Settlers of Catan. Tilly’s tail protrudes from under the table.
Just had some family and friends over for some drinks and games. As befits (early) middle age 🥃
I hate how so much technology assumes people only understand one language and don’t want to be exposed to any other.
The worst thing for me was, the first time it happened, it was a Spanish music video and it just muted the audio and began reading out the lyrics in American English. Took me ages to work out what was going on. Have it as an option if you must, but don’t put it on by default!
Cup saying ‘Tilly the terror”
Little model dog stuck inside cup

Following my birthday weekend, I’m officially back on the OLED pony, with the destroyer of the previous screen commemorated in cup form. 有り難し、有り難し
While an incredibly difficult February is technically coming to a close the horrors, and the bills (also technically horrors) persist.
There are just a few of each of these left in the shop, if you’re so inclined.
