Institutional investors together hold less than 1% nationally of the single family home stock. That small percentage provides a life line for families to access a housing types they wouldnβt be able to otherwise, and I donβt think we should take that away from them.

I couldnβt agree more - the status quo is unsustainable. Our zoning code channels new housing into two extremes - either large McMansions or luxury apartment buildings.
