The black cat that comes into my flat sometimes has now taken to sleeping the night under my bed, which is strangely comforting. It has collar bell so I can hear it moving. Last night in my usual 3am insomnia bout it insisted I play with it. I think I’ve been adopted

The morning of the second of March. Five and twenty past eight. I have decided to ignore the news in favour of playing Pokémon Go. I won my first gym battle! Screaming into the void on hold for now.

I’m watching movies I’ve never seen before but have heard a lot about tonight. First Falling Down, very interesting, devastating final scene. And now American Pyscho which does seem to draw on 50s Hitchcock/Highsmith in the best possible way.

This time next week 02/03/26 Weird in the Wade returns with a bumper episode celebrating international women’s day. I’ll be exploring with special guests, women who haunt, are haunted and investigate the paranormal. Including colourful lady ghosts and fairy / folk tales.

The thing with choosing a horror movie to watch is that sometimes the really good ones have shitty trailers and the bad ones have really good trailers

(Think maybe ones that have character depth and actual plot maybe don’t produce the flashy moments needed for trailers)

The black cat who roams around the rooftops of our little group of buildings and sometimes comes to visit me at night came in again last night. I say visit me - I said hello as it came in, it looked me and ignored me as it always does and just roamed the flat. It’s my flat it likes, I’m incidental

I sometimes watch unboxing videos for things I want to buy - I want to see what’s in the box. But they’ve started doing them like those ASMR where they tap their fingernails along the box and I cannot stand the sound of fingernails tapping. Makes my skin crawl. I can’t be the only one, am I?

Does anyone remember a ghost story - or rather, a time slip story I think - that may have been in one of those ‘World’s Greatest’ books about two women who took a holiday in Dieppe after WW2 and were woken by the sounds of battle and listened to what sounded like the failed WW2 Dieppe invasion?
