That sounds like Baldur’s Gate 😂 Over the weekend I beat a boss so thoroughly that it only got a single hit in on my entire party, then lost my rag shortly after because Gale and Shadowheart couldn’t walk in a straight line down a short hallway and kept getting themselves shadow-cursed
