Better than the alternative I guess…
We are, but just because Billy jumped off a bridge…
The Inspector General has a good record of looking into these things. Enough RC’s right now.
Three parties all grandstanding and making hypocritical and hyperbolic claims about each other.
We can come together to protect people from hate and guns, or we can all shout at each other some more.

Can you do “buoy” next?
Mogwai
Fuck it I don’t care anymore
You did it again… 🤦♂️
Any recommendations for a .com.au domain registrar?
We're being screwed over by the auDA and our current provider and need to transfer elsewhere. 🤬

I’m really proud of this talk and I hope you’ll watch it. I put care in to making it approachable while still delivering my perspective and insights to security professionals. If you don't get the "why" behind passkeys, this talk will help fill that gap. [2/2] www.youtube.com/watch?v=otOb...
Safari 26.1 arrives today. What does this bring developers? Many improvements to Anchor Positioning. A refactor of how WebKit handles CSS Units, bringing relative units (rlh, ic, cap, cqw, cqi, cqmin, cqmax) to SVG for the first time. And many other fixes.

I feel stupid for asking. Is the olive oil also in a cage?
Detergent cages? To prevent… ???
I’m sure the rollout could’ve been done better, but the level of change was always going to generate a massive level of complaint.
It’s disappointing to see the experts in the media talking about the BOM site upgrade.
It’s not good for the design industry when it’s geography and agricultural experts talking about website design.
Presenter on stage delivers a talk titled "Design immersive and interactive experiences" to an audience. The slide shows the speaker's name, identified as a Design Evangelist.
If you're a UX researcher or designer and interested in interactive immersive content for spatial computing (the next era of entertainment). You should watch this session by Serenity Caldwell (Design Evangelist, Apple). youtube.com/live/leGqoF8... #spatialcomputing #userexperience
It takes shockingly little provocation to get me listening to Australian music for an hour.
A thread for myself as much as anyone else.

Bank the miles and avoid the backlash. 🤷♂️
Just put it on the credit card….
John: It's not just the apps. It’s everything America has done to spread its influence, because America dominates the media. We all consume it. In some way, shape, or form, things trickle down. And it’s pervasive when you speak to Americans that they are unaware of their position in the world and this cultural hegemony––that their conversations very quickly dominate the public space because everybody is affected by these influences. You grew up watching American TV. You grew up listening to American music. And often you might have to remind people that maybe we want to step back from America being the center of this conversation. For example, say I want to talk about slavery in northern Nigeria. One of the books I'm writing now is set in a time when the so-called caliphate in what is now northern Nigeria was at its peak. At that time, at least one in four persons was an enslaved person or in indentured servitude. At one point, we had probably the highest number of slaves in the world. I’d like to talk about this without talking about slaves in the U.S. or white people. You know, why do I have to talk about white supremacy when writing about this period in Nigeria? But the conversation always goes there. This U.S. hegemony is true regardless of race. Even if you are oppressed in America, you still have this outsize influence globally, and the rest of us are choking on it. And we would like to have conversations in our local spaces that do not always devolve to American tribal wars.
Elnathan John gets it.
Wanna share something nice:
After the News Corp & neo-Nazis misquoted me on Charlie Kirk, I got an email from someone calling me reprehensible.
I emailed back to explain what happened, gave them the context I gave to the journo, and the emailer changed their mind.
It's not all bad out there!
Alternatively, I did notice a few of the journalists covering ANU, studied at Canberra University. I didn’t think the rivalry was that bad, but any chance to bring down the tall poppy?
It seems much more personal with ANU.
From what I’ve seen, Bell inherited the problems, but could have handled them better. I don’t think sacking the VC (or Chancellor) changes anything significantly for the ANU.
Perhaps the staff and students feel more attached to the ANU, than UTS? Or maybe 🤔

A picture of a promo style pic of a can of Fanta Licorice flavour. It’s in a mostly black can with some dull green highlights. It’s Fanta but black. Fantablack.
