that one guy going "i code everything with llms its the future bro" really explains this dropdown menu in the 'go live' feature (which i otherwise think is pretty good)

I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this πŸ˜‰

It's not an excuse for cooperation, but the federal government has clearly extracted bullshit confessions under conditions that meet the definition of tortureβ€”incl extreme isolation, sexual violence, physical and emotional abuse, and the withholding of appropriate food and medical care.

Every bsky staff member keeps talking about how the goal is Nice Social Media but then the second they're even remotely pushed back against for something shitty, and they immediately crash out for multiple days crying about their subhuman userbase.

The painting "Night in the Steppe" shows a vast plain under a bright full moon, the light being distributed over the landscape and the water in an almost magical way.

This work is made by the renowned Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk, who invented the unique painting style called "plyontanism" (from the Ukrainian word plyontaty, meaning "to braid"). This technique consists of hundreds of fine, intertwined lines that create depth and an almost textile-like texture.

At the meeting, I talk about Good Boss/Bad Boss/Sad Boss as the kind of menu of tactics the company will draw from. I said some version of a thing I have now said thousands of times in meetings and house calls: Good Boss is when they buy off or try to buy off workers, with favors and fixes or even pay raises, to quell the anger that drives the organizing, to make it seem as though workers don't need a union after all. Bad Boss is when they terrify or try to terrify workers through threats, like plant closure and rumors like "Wherever the union goes, Immigration follows," so that fear overpowers the driving anger. Sad Boss is when they play the strange game of pretending to suffer a deep, personal heartbreak as the result of workers deciding to organize, in hopes that the workers' anger will be confused or blunted by empathy for the boss.

Genuinely the best description I've ever seen about how CEOs and bosses respond when you try to form a union or improve the workplace.

From Daisy Pitkin's book - On The Line: Two Women's Epic Fight to Build a Union.

I think this is the valid core of the otherwise completely reactionary response of stuff like "lol next concord" and shit. Companies have so degraded the belief that they will continue to support something unless it shows immediate, massive returns that everyone has become a jaded gravedancer
