What a cute dog!

The king has finally returned to his castle! He immediately peed on our bed when he got home.

We've heard that a lot and are very happy, but they are still going to keep him overnight because apparently he could have a bad reaction to IV fluids.

He always sleeps in bed so I'm going to miss him very much tonight.

Unfortunately when we gave him the antibiotic he threw up shortly after that and became extremely lethargic with labored breathing. He could still walk, but mostly just laid around. Today the emergency vet said once again his blood work looks great and his murmur is still stable.

If you've mathed correctly you will realize he's gone a year over their estimate. To our delight (?) he made a fast recovery and returned to terrorizing everyone. This week we noticed one of the lymph nodes in his throat was swollen. Vet thought it was a tooth infection and prescribed an antibiotic.

Despite the heart murmur vets were able to operate on him two years ago to remove a toe on his back leg that was growing a cancerous tumor. Thankfully it grew slow because it was misdiagnosed by his vet for a year or so before we got a second opinion. He was given 6 months to a year to live.

I've been primarily posting pictures of Molly, but we do have another dog. This is our gremlin / miniature schnauzer, Dexter. He's 17 and has survived having two much larger dogs and humans to boss around. He has had a severe heart murmur for several years now.
