Great description of why some bands hit and others just donβt.

Nearly every time I listen to Float Along - Fill Your Lungs, at least once I have the thought βThis might be my favorite Gizz albumβ
Which would be much more notable if the same thing didnβt also happen with most of their albums

Reasonable Doubt is such a timeless album. π₯Ή
I was there and had a hard time holding on π«
Dude, you gotta just go to live shows. Go see live music. You donβt have to pay $400 for a ticket. You can pay $40 for two tickets and see two incredible bands that will stick with you forever, AND get half the band to sign your shirt at the merch table and itβs the coolest shit on the planet.
Great taste. I was there too and totally agree! Such a great show. Such a great summer and fall tour. One of my favs of recent years!
Amazon just announced another round of 16,000 layoffs, months after it laid off 14,000 workers.
Reminder that Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raked in over $40M in 2024.
And Amazon is spending at least $75 million producing and promoting the Melania documentary.
The system is rigged.
The show is best known for the one and only Dead version of the Beatles' Get Back. But there is some beautiful playing - though maybe not on the aforementioned tune - throughout, including on Row Jimmy, Black Muddy River, Eyes, and He's Gone. Don't miss it all! gratefuldeadoftheday.com/01-28-1987
I made a promise to Alexβs parents to continue to tell his story.
An ICU nurse at the VA, an outdoorsman, a deeply generous, compassionate friend and family member, and a true son of Minnesota. Rest in peace, Alex.

for an album made up of tracks from 82-88 this comp has very little '80s sound' to it at all, except for perhaps the final song. the Vox Populi! track Micro Climax is the, um, climax of the LP for certain

Today would be a GREAT day to release the Epstein files.
ahh yes, January 94... back when an up and coming guitar god could still go out and play jazz standards with his drummer and couple other top notch players and be completely ignored by a bar room crowd

Was just ripping this earlier today after not listening to it in quite some time. Was thinking about what a great song Sugar Mags to kick off the new year and what an awesome version this is. Thank you Bobby for all you gave us. tidal.com/track/247703...
