28 Years Later was pretty terrific. Way outside the norm for a zombie flick - delightfully so. I haven’t seen the sequel yet though
I’m watching “Late Night With The Devil” right now. Seems to be working
That’s a non-endorsement! Still looks like a cool channel though
Yeah it looks like it will. Will fire it up when I get home
The TV we got a couple of months ago is sophisticated enough that we can do away with the Roku stick entirely. End of an era I guess
Watching 2010’s The Wolfman and turns out Rick Baker has a very brief cameo. As they are chasing the creature through the streets of London, I wondered if theyre same streets in “American Werewolf in London”? Piccadilly? Anyway I’ve always liked this one and everybody does a fine job in it.
I must not purchase Elden Ring until I have beaten Dark Souls Remastered. Hard boundary.
Going from satellite to fiber optic: my internet is about to get roughly 100-200 times faster. A modern miracle?
I found a cool LaTeX template that outputs a very-close imitation of old TSR #D&D modules. Trying to figure out how to use #tablesmith to spit out my weird custom corporate-office dungeon-stocking code in LaTeX format, complete with NPCs, wandering monsters, and freaky dragons and wizards
In the Grim Darkness of the Immediate Future, There is Only War. And Colossal Stupidity.
Also of piss, blood and beer
These shoes haven’t smelled the same since that GWAR concert
My laser printer smells like burning but doesn’t short out the socket. I think a stinkbug musta crawled in there. I could probably totally destroy it or else remove the offending material if I opened it up. Want to print. Don’t want fire. What to do what to do
After cute anime, tonight I watched “I Am The Pretty Thing that Lives in the House”. Decent. Very slow and creepy. The Turn of The Screw type thing. I watched something else like it a few weeks ago: very surreal but I can’t remember the title
Now: Food for The Soul. It’s cute. The first episode starts with chickens so my wife took an interest
Tonight it was Super Cub, Today’s Menu for Emiya Family. We need to catch up on Laid Back Camp s.3 and Frieren s.2. Evidently we like the “iyashikei” genre a lot. Looking forward to Dungeon Meshi s2 when it rolls around
My new favorite activity is watching anime in which nothing meaningful happens except people eat and chat and sometimes hike or ride scooters.
The second one reminds me of the Warhammer 40K emperor
If you have the ability, and I guess the inclination, you can find a Skyrim mod that has almost the entire map of Dark Souls in it. It’s kind of fun to run through empty and in high definition with amazing textures
Sounds like where I grew up (Miami, Florida)
I have Excalibur on DVD but I wonder if there’s a good BluRay transfer. Hmmmm.
Devil’s Backbone, also.
So the GloFiber guys came and literally walked the cable all the way to the front door at 535pm . I haven’t seen whether they trenched it or not. But the dude who was here to do the router part left at 11 - he and I both knew that the installation wasn’t going to happen today. But it’s like 99.9995%
I’ve been listening to Demon Days on repeat lately
The quality of the algorithm has, uh, dropped off the charts.
“You’re in over your head, Donnie!”
After a #turnip28 madness took me, I was thinking of getting into Napoleonic wargaming but I picked up “Muskets and Tomahawks” since I don’t like huge battles. The thing is: you need the main rule book AND the sourcebook because the American Independence/FIW units are all in the sourcebook. PO’d bro
Man if this leftover snow bullshit interferes with the installation of our GloFiber, I’m going to be distressed to say the least
oh hey whether you are dealing with snow or laying on the beach, there's a new cartoon for you
