And the worst part of it all, is the endless feeling of embarrassment. Being late because I have to check everything. Interrupting conversations because of anxiety. Wasting so much time, trying to escape the mental spiral. It makes me feel lonely and embarrassed. I hope I can overcome this soon.

And you just think where everything went wrong because you don't remember being like this a few years ago...

But you know where it comes from. All of these tiny things that need to be right.

And it brings you back to the trauma behind it all.

It's a repetitive hell.

OCD sucks because you'll be stuck there washing your hands over and over, until your hands are raw and bleeding, and yet you aren't done, because something happened again, and you need to restart the counting loop or "something bad will happen", and your hands and mind hurt, and it's never "right".
