It stayed off?
It stayed off?
Twat.
And that includes the staff..
We live in an age where all the information we need to do or make ANYTHING is a few clicks or taps away.. and you still couldn't manage that?
I also do think there's a pure element to Henry's mind. He's under the control and influence of the flayer, he's corrupted by it. We know he was said to be a normal child before contact with it.
TL;DR Mind prison is not Henry's mind.. he could escape MFs influence same as the kids do.. but why not?
Maybe it's the accrued memories of all its been in contact with.
So he knows something bad happens if so. Losing his powers, or the 'good' remaining in him wants to avoid the flayer doing other things if he does? No idea on that. But the mind prison I don't think is Henry's mind. We see he has to be connected to the vines or flayer to access it.
The girls go back to their earliest memory of when the mind flayer influenced them through Vecna in order to leave and escape its grasp. If Henry went through the cave to the time when a certain event happens (re: First Shadow) he could in theory escape its control too..
Okay I need to put this Stranger Things theory into the world before tomorrow..
Henry refuses to enter the cave, but it's not a physical place, it's a memory, his mind prison, whatever you want to call it. What if it's not trauma stopping him going there? He's not that weak.
Would love some input on this if anyone wants to offer it ๐
What's better 'Rainsong' or 'Stormsong'?
I'm thinking Rainsong:
Both based on the idea of something seen as dark bringing beauty.
Calm. Thought-provoking. Less aggressive?
I used last night's limited game dev time to add.. hair physics. To my 2D top-down game.
Perfectly valid feature if you're going to be looking at the same character the entire time.
Brit here.. is this AI? 'Cause at this point it feels like the only explanation..
A real twist if the fessor is Karen Matthews..
Cute as. Love it.
It looks beautiful.
Good on you! I'm interested, what effects did it have on your life and what effects are you finding since quitting?
Bus driver used to let me get on with my card no issue. I didn't even know there was a restriction on times until a new driver told me I had to pay.
I said oh yeah it's a good job I can see just fine until 9am.
A good week last week on the fishing mechanics, but huge progress on some of the world-building, lore and actual overarching plot and objectives - this was something left behind before so I'm pretty happy.
No wonder they're hiring, are they looking for his replacement?
Anyway I'm making a fishing adventure game, like if the old Zelda games had fishing instead of combat.
Follow me if you like, updates coming soon.
Mr.
Oh I love that perspective shift, very nice!
Where did you get a 3kg tub of mixed Haribo? That's an expensive pick and mix right there.
My dad used to use 'shreddies' in the 90s, he was from York. So I reckon it's definitely a northern thing?
Definitely, it was wonderful. Such an under appreciated game and I hope the new one lives up to the first - it hadn't really been on my radar as I was skeptical but now I'm interested.
Honestly I don't think the story gets the recognition it deserves.
Yes! Core memory unlocked. I don't know why but these became a major meme in amongst our friends group nearly 20 years ago now ๐ญ
I always thought this about BotW. I love it, but there are clearly areas you're supposed to be much 'higher level' for but there's just no way to know until you get your arse kicked. I guess the visuals of the enemy are the signpost in the end. As for the shrines though that's definitely bad.
I've been trying that for 15 years ๐ Never quite managed it. I can't keep it simple haha. Just started something today though that I hope manages that.
That's generally how I've worked and pretty much the only thing that's kept me doing it at times. But I still want to succeed in publishing something!
