This war is about two things:
It’s about our midterm elections; and
It’s about Trump being bribed and manipulated by all manner of foreign powers into using our military as a personal mercenary force used to do their bidding while enhancing his personal power and wealth — both here and abroad.
More corruption from Trump’s consiglieri.
The rule of law here seems once again to be very narrowly applied so that this issue will now be in the courts for years and, with his pivot to Section 122, will not change a thing so long as Trump is president.

One of the basic ideas of democracy is that nothing is final. Defeats can become victories, and victories can become defeats. Governments change, laws change, and most important, the people change. No majority is the majority, and there’s always the chance that new configurations of groups and interests will produce new outcomes.
the other interesting thing about reading your work over time is you can see ideas emerge. like, i wrote this in 2024 but you can see the idea percolating early on in my tenure at the times. it just took a few years for me to be able to actually articulate it.
