Peter Sellers as James Bond.
Woody Allen as Jimmy Bond.
Everyone is asking who the worst actor to play Bond would be, and this has already been answered by Casino Royale 1967. In fact, it gave us two!
I'm still working on it. I keep the title up in part as a reminder. I don't want to let her down.
I don't know if I have lived up to her expectation for me. I've tried to put that pugnacious spirit of hers into my writing, to say what I think ought to be said with no reserve. But at the same time, I don't think I have been as good a teacher as she saw me.
We lost her two years ago today.
I still miss her.
It wasn't a title that I had intended to use for myself, but rather one that was used towards me. It was what Kiri called me.
When I would put my thoughts about writing out into the world, she would often say, "Thank you, Rhetor Dark End."
Brief story time: what is the word "rhetor" and why is it there in my profile?
The word means "a teacher of rhetoric" or more broadly a teacher or writer in some capacity.
This game beats ass, if you slept on this sucker a few years back, good time to give it a try.
Glad you enjoyed it. Afraid I don't do book signings at cons though.
So, it's been a weird experience. Christie loved these books a lot, but they are also some of her more flawed works in my view. Yet, despite the flaws, I still enjoyed both of them.
Similarly, a huge chunk of the middle of Endless Night is someone telling the protagonist that there are ill omens about and then making way for the next person to come on the seen and pontificate about ill omens.
Crooked House feels like a straight-forward murder mystery, but the clues are a bit unusual, given a Christie novel. This makes sense once we know the who/why/how, but it's weird in the midst of things.
Both of which I find a bit strange among the Christie oeuvre, as they have unsteady middles that are explained by their endings.
Recently I've been catching up on more Agatha Christie, and wanted to tackle some of the novels she loved the most among her own work, and in particular hit up both Crooked House and Endless Night.
Tonttu looks like he wants a bite out of that burger.
This is wolf erasure!π
Cover of Green Fairy by Kyell Gold. In a grand, early-20th-century hall, an anthropomorphic fox in a flowing period dress dances at center. An anthropomorphic goat glances back over their shoulder on the left, while a black wolf on the right meets the readerβs gaze. Shimmering green sparkles drift between the fox and wolf, hinting at something magical.
Cover of Red Devil by Kyell Gold. Two anthropomorphic foxes sit side by side on a riverbank: Alexei, a male fox, and his sister Catarina. Behind them stands a dilapidated wooden cabin, with a modern city skyline rising in the distance. In the riverβs reflection appears another fox dressed in old-style military clothing, holding a sword. The rippling water distorts the figure, giving him a ghostly, fractured presence. Art by Rukis. Cover design by Christine Foltzer.

Hi all!
Especially with my new book coming out, I wanted to remind those of you who have enjoyed any of my books, please leave a rating on Goodreads! And even a review, if you feel so inclined. :)
Every one of those helps, especially for an indie author!

Hey!! If any of my followers are a member of someone's Subscribestar, check your payment info please. Something broke and tons of people's payment info has been wiped and I see creators panicking trying to get your attention.
This may be my favorite action scene I've ever written: Tor has to repurpose a bunch of sci-fi sex toys as weapons. Crank up the juice on those electrofloggers and they become makeshift tasers.
New Patreon chapter up! "Blue Zenith" chapter 2: "Run Fast"

Well that looks like a cozy place to curl up with a good book.
I think the closest is probably Shiloh Skye's website. I don't know if he would take a request, but you can ask.
I started writing Chasing Thieves close to fifteen years ago. I am so happy that it's finally out there for the world to see!
I hope you fall in love with these characters as much as I did!
Oh hey, I remember her.

The follow-up problem to this is that there is no terminology you can reliably fall back on that won't be extremely off putting to at least one reader.
