One of the best things I ever did for myself was stop comparing my life trajectory to people who have support systems. I won’t say I never had help, but I’m just now truly understanding the difference between “assistance” and “support”.

Writing is fine. It's literally the most embarrassing thing on earth to emotionally put yourself on full display for rejection or validation, but it's good. I enjoy it. I find it therapeutic to horrify myself.

I often find books online that I want to buy for my daughter.
I'd love to be able to check the font and layout of a page before ordering, as she's dyslexic and it makes such a huge difference to whether she will enjoy reading it.

Am I'm missing somewhere I could check?

Treats are definitely a good option.
It's far too easy to drown my sorrows in cake when I haven't achieved enough. So this actually works in two ways, saving the sugar for positive reinforcement rather than negative!
Same amount of cake - more writing.

It's very frustrating when I'm aware that I'm in this stage and still can't get past it. 😩
