It varies for everyone.

My 4 year old is having a really hard time with the change. It isn't helping the rest of us.

Daylight saving time is hard.

Happy birthday!

This is the month of screaming chaos. The fact that you know what time it is at all is impressive.

At your leisure, I'm sure we all want to know how adorable the baby is.

I have become addicted to looking at old mills and <strike>abandoned</strike> repurposed warehouses and thinking, "How much fun could I have running a sword class in here?"

I think I'll actually be a little sad when I pick one.

I woke up at the usual time after going to bed at the usual time and was trying to figure out why I was groggy until I walked into a room with a non-internet clock. Yes, got it.

If most bsky users are poorly written AI bots, that would explain a lot.

You can do a 10k by October. If it's flat enough, you can do a half marathon.

Three panel comic of two people talking. Text reads:
WE INVENTED A ROBOT THAT ANSWERS QUESTIONS
WE JUST HAVE TO FEED IT 10
BABY GIRAFFES A DAY
BUT IT ANSWERS THE QUESTIONS CORRECTLY?
OH MY GOODNESS, NO.
NO NO NO NO NO

I hear it answers the questions correctly 85% of the time. That is a rate that makes a person an effective liar.

Oooh, ooh! Do you have a sword for me? Not one of the "you are now king" kind of swords, just a magic sword that I can use to cut through BS and fix some of the problems in the world.

I wasn't criticizing, just making sure I understood. The first sentence made it sound like you didn't like seeing others nude, but the rest of the skeet sounded like you were only talking about yourself wearing clothes.

07.03.2026 14:45 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So this isn't as much about others being nude as yourself? You don't want the vulnerability of nudity, but this skeet doesn't pass judgement on those others who enjoy being nude?

I have become Ray Stanz in my old age.

(Why is there no gif of Ray shouting, "This is great!" After Egon says the building should be condemned?)

And you may ask, why don't you cut into your video game time instead? Why is exercise the thing that suffers?

Because video game time is family snuggles time. Without Ace Attorney and Donkey Kong, my 4yo doesn't sleep.

I have barely moved this week. I had two "rest days" where I didn't exercise, just did paperwork. I still have more paperwork to do, but I just need to move.

Next week will be better. Everything is due Monday, so I will be able to exercise without stressing about all this.

Humans are persistence predators.

The strongest human can't overpower a chimp.
Dogs literally run circles around our fastest runners.

Humans win because we are the most patient animals.

People who forget that, who try to impress me by being strong or overbearing, confuse me.

Do you need a beta reader? I'm a math teacher, not a therapist, but I spend a lot of time talking to the therapists at my very, very special school.

I hadn't heard it broken into 5 steps before. What are the other 4, after recognizing your own emotions?

I have some, but nothing like the explosion since every phone has had a camera in it.

Me, to my boss: I have two questions. I hope the answer to one is "yes," and I've been assuming the answer to the other is "no," but I just realized that I have never asked.

My boss: Oooh! It's like a cheat sheet! What are the questions?

"Why can't I do what I can do?" sob sob "Why can't I do what I can do?"

I've never actually watched the show. How closely does it follow the comic? Does a superhero die from screwing a comet relatively early on?

My grandfathers were both on the same aircraft carrier in the Pacific, about to sail for Japan, when WW2 ended. They figured this out while my parents were dating.

Tell me a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true.

I've died twice so far. I didn't have the traditional near-death experience with the tunnel and the light that others describe, though the second time I was hallucinating pretty badly from the pain.

After reading his rant, I see that I should have been on his block list. Out of respect, I blocked him. I hope that his main account blocks me as well. No animosity, just recognition.

I am finally claiming my adulthood this year because I am a person who stands up for others, and solves problems for people.

It's kind of backwards, really. I consider myself an adult *because* I am successful at standing up for people. An adult is someone who can help people solve their problems. There are people who come to me with their problems because they know I can help.

It didn't make me feel any older when I realized that my dad didn't have all the answers, and was just as lost as I am. He did his best, just like I am. (His best was better than mine in some ways, worse in others.)

But how does it help my community that I am an adult now?

When my first son was about to be born, they told us that grandparents could visit any time. I stopped myself before asking what about parents? I was the parent. The grandparents were my parents. It didn't feel real.

As my children have grown, sometimes they ask me questions I asked my dad.
