My daughter went as Wally (Where's Wally) only to see 4 teachers at the gate dressed as Wally too! She got a big cheer!
No you're exactly right.. I've tried before to make things like this before and failed quite a few times!
Minimal sounds are quite hard to get right because it seems like it should be so simple!
I think I'll have to make an album of minimal dub techno...
In the same sort of vein as Monolake or Pole that sort of thing.
Some nice modular loops, glitches, ambience and static.

My Dad just texted me to remind me its was 20 years ago today I got accepted on a PHd.
Big sigh though and regret, I never finished it, lack of funding and imposter syndrome. Still it was an experience and with what's happening in Iran the subject matter hasn't really left me!

A respected blog or newsletter certainly seems to help, I can see it the stats, on bandcamp you get a nice write up and the plays come and the sales also. More so then a radio play.
Just booked to take the kids to Lindisfarne / Holy Island on the first week of the Easter Holidays... quiet excited!

I don't know if you've ever heard of or seen the weekly DisquietJunto challenges (@disquiet.bsky.social) but one week, some years ago, this was exactly the challenge, to make music from a recording of a fridge!
Last night I started to create something in the spirit of Éliane Radigue and today I finished it off.
In the end I made two tracks from the same source sounds, a 15 minute ambient drone piece and a second shorter version with added piano.

Despite the fascist tendencies of Trump and the whole destruction of US society by his administration. Launching an attack on Iran is 'classic' old US strategy of trying to keep US hegemony in the world. It's the same US strategy we've seen for decades. It's about the power of the petro-dollar. 1/2
The US is in decline in terms of Petro-dollar financial leverage which spells the end of US "exorbitant privilege", the end of the $ as global reserve currency. Iran like Venezuela can be seen as attempts to maintain / prolong this system. This reality underpins much of US 21st century geopoltics.
