I think it is a natural pull towards other things because the creative mind hates echo chambers. It can be scary cause what if you let the current flow and you end up alienated from something you made part of your identity most of your life?

I feel like the hardest bit now is turning that „being impressed“ into a genuine emotional engagement with the art, which is what can inspire. Being impressed just creates pressure to emulate and the energy for that can run out so much quicker because you feel like leeching rather than observing

I never look for fights, I just make music to make myself and others a bit happier. I fear this will happen more often and I can‘t help but get defensive. This is just fucking unjust.

If you use gen AI in your art/music, you should also deal with the consequences of mistrust in your fans for anything you do going forward, even IF you go back to not using it. Even if someone like Kevin MacLeod claims to not use gen AI going forward, I won‘t believe it.

It‘s gotten very hard to tell even for me these days, so all that remains is listening to artists you trust don‘t use it.

I am lucky to have made music like this before the slop phase, but I feel sorry for everyone that has started 1-2 years ago. I hope this bubble bursts sooner than later
