Managed to find a little nature (in the middle of LA), including a tiny bushtit and a large red shouldered hawk. The bushtit was jumping around everywhere making it tough to catch a photo, while the hawk practically posed. #birds #borb

I was lucky enough to have Tanya Atwater as my professor in my first geology course (Plate Tectonics!). In the course she told vivid stories about this period when plate tectonics was being debated in the field. Such an inspiration!
