So after some thought I have decided to query Nightfall + Reflections together. It just makes more sense to keep Jaye's story together.
Wanted to do Nightfall+Guardian... for now, I will save Guardian for when the time is right.

I have used that format for one of the stories when pitched alone, actually! The other one... is too contemporary/slice of life for its own good 🤣 Focusing on the shared themes though, that is much easier.

I no longer write for me. Now that I'm in my 30's, I write for all the young queer kids out there who might one day see my words & think "hey, a character like me!" Because I was that kid once.

Just heard we lost a holocaust survivor yesterday. Anyone lost to terrorism (and any and all gun violence for that matter) is one person too many. But that loss in particular weighs on my heart.

Hard to believe that as of tomorrow it will be 11 years since I started writing Jaye Avenheart's story.

11 years since the beginnings of "The Reflections Saga."

11 years since I began to explore the history of the most broken, complicated queer woman I have ever written.

in many cases, a lot of het works are literally "we put a boy and a girl together in this narrative so therefore they must kiss" with none of the work going into proving to the reader that they should kiss

it's a literal skill issue

I use ProtonDrive for sharing. Also Ellipsus! (fun fact about them: don't have to make new link every time you change your story+can invite folks to comment and edit). Used to have Sumatra for pdf (since switch to Linux I use their program XReader). Don't know what it's like now.

The Starsinger Chronicles smells like the ocean and sea breeze with a hint of fish

Guardian smells like mist and pine trees

Nightfall smells like leather and New York (which can be either a good thing or a bad thing)

Such an interesting question. Had to really think about it!
