Beautiful, fascinating events and creatures pass through the environs near me. I hope to bring one of them to you each day. Thank you for visiting. All the images are photographs taken by me with basic RAW processing - no AI (except for my avatar π)
Thank you Fright. ππΌ
Thanks Amy - It is grand to see creatures full of vim and purpose, especially when theyβre pursuing out of the norm activities. ππΌ
Thank you John - I agree that it surely conveys velocity. πππΌ
Thank you Rob - this oneβs certainly on the run. πππΌ
A Blue Jay is caught mid stride, trotting toward us at a seemingly breakneck speed through the light covering of snow on a bright day in early January.
The Blue Jay opts for terrestrial locomotion.

Thank you Fright. I know that itβs unusual but Iβll truly miss winter. ππΌ
Thank you Carol. I am blessed with many lovely bird neighbours. ππΌ
Thank you Rob - luckily the birds keep coming! ππΌ
An American Goldfinch perches daintily amidst tiny branches, on a snowy day in January.

Nice capture Erin - I couldnβt agree more with you on your statement, βItβs so nice when birds pause to let you admire them.β I couldnβt put it better. π«ΆπΌππΌ
Thank you Fright - and thanks for reposting. ππΌ
A Black-Capped Chickadee perching in a Cedar tree calls out her sweet little song mid February, mid afternoon. (Again I find the filtered sunlight here flatters our subject handsomely, and sheβs looking her best in her so carefully groomed for the season plumage.)
The Chickadeeβs back and singing.

Thank you once more Alan. ππΌ
Thank you again Fright. ππΌ
Thank you Richard. ππΌ
Great capture Adam - I find rendering very dark birds difficult, but youβve done a great job here. ππΌππ»ππΌ
Nice series. ππ»ππΌ
Wonderful image - the broad palette and dynamic range combined with the symmetry and peaceful nature of the βstoryβ are a tour de force. ππΌπ«ΆπΌππ»ππΌ
A wonderful set of images Rob - both beautiful and apt. ππΌππ»ππΌ
An Evening Grosbeak bows while perching on an oak branch. Her mouth is full of something, and it almost appears that sheβs trying to discreetly, if ineffectively, conceal that condition. Itβs a snowy grey January morning hence the light is very soft and neutral.
βSorry, canβt talk - my mouthβs full.β

Wonderful capture and a beautiful image Alan. Youβve certainly got the light βfiring on all fourβ here. Bravo. ππΌππ»ππΌπ«ΆπΌ
Thank you Fright. ππΌ
Thank you Alan - I do love cute. πππΌ
You do have some wonderful lighting here Micky. I particularly like the back lit subtleties that youβre getting. ππΌππ»ππΌ
A Black-Capped Chickadee perches in the warming, filtered sunlight of a cold mid February afternoon. She wishes to announce something to her compatriots and turns her head from side to side to do so. (I love the way the subtle shadows of the Cedar treeβs greenery are cast across her breast, as well as the way the light glances over her cheek giving that most desirable βRembrandtβ look to her visage.)
The Chickadee annunciates in the early afternoon sun of February.
