I wish I had more room to write! While she is a character, she is more of a myth/symbol. I’m slowly rewriting her tale to make it fit with other lore changes.

I took a break from some other work to go over some of my characters. I never really nailed down a solid look for her and she has had a nebulous role in the story as things have shifted around. She is a shapeshifting tiger spirit who is the harbinger of winter. I love her too much!

Still more work on this ‘bigger’ project. I’m getting into a nice rhythm with things and am really enjoying it.
Still nothing better than sitting back and just going ‘wow I just made that’.

Gen Ai has no place in creative spaces. I watched as one person made a 90% Gen Ai project and in just 4 days of existence, it changed the atmosphere of the space massively.
It doesn’t take much once it is introduced before people start relying on it for everything.
It is such a damn shame.

I got a lot of projects that I’m working on. Most of them are in very winding states as I seem to be allergic to writing things down.
I have been able to sit down on the rare few days in order to rework some of my oldest characters. It’s interesting to see how things can change and improve.

I have been busy with other projects,
But I took some time to rough something out. I have a lot I want to improve upon, but this is a start.

I hate the sound of people writing on tablets. Whatever happened to good old pen and paper. The taping and clacking just makes my braincells want to fight.

I have still been sketching in my free time before continuing work on other projects. It’s going to be a bit before I can share that work. I’m very proud of it though!

Oh man, I started to work on some real projects. It’s a very different environment (one that I am enjoying). One day I’ll get to show them off, but not for now.
My own projects have been so loosely defined that it a nice change of pace to have a set ‘goal’.

I’m so very tired

I foolishly decided to print out that Dreir stand up. The almost solid black creature… needless to say my toner wants to give up the ghost.

I think I share a similar philosophy.
I feel like you are working up a hill when trying to slot them into places. It’s just a tricky design space that often is quite creatively limiting.

Bipedal standup for a Dreir. Those secondary arms lose a lot of mass to the primaries. The hair does get much longer than in quad forms.
Most fully absorb their secondary arms in this form; they do little here.

I got told by a few friends that I made characters that are too ‘human’ in those regards.
Something about certain flaws makes them more interesting to explore.

Very rough sketches for the these guys again. Trying to work out how everything should feel when they stand up.
The secondary arms tend to get absorbed between quad and bipedal forms. They aren’t as useful there.
