I see the word “iconic” being thrown around a lot on the Internet, but you know what word I almost never see? Iconoclastic.

As a kid, I had this every easter, and it falls into the category of foods I love but it’s a good thing I only eat once a yr (see also stuffing, funnel cake, etc.)

RIP Scott Foust of Idea Fire Company and the Swill Radio label. A giant of confounding, unclassifiable music

I’d play Kreskin’s ESP game with you, though.
I’ve owned A Book of Surrealist Games for decades, and I’ve never found anyone interested in playing them with me.
none of us are immune to propaganda or misinformation. i recently unwittingly reposted a story that turned out to be unverifiable & i have seen more fake stories circulating. yet ppl in the comments were stuck on "it feels emotionally true". that is a really dangerous place to be. that's not okay.

I’d like to watch a short film about trading apples for books.
One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.
Last night I dreamt that Rick and Alan Bishop of the Sun City Girls had a new band called Dim Sum and they were going to be playing a strip mall near where I live.

Thank you for letting me know.
Do you think you will get The Mastermind?
See you this afternoon!

I had a dream it was the 80s, but I was in my twenties. Lost in a strange big city, I met Rosanna Arquette, who took me under her wing. She took me to some sort of gathering where she introduced me to her friends William S. Burroughs, Spalding Gray and Pee-Wee Herman.
A portrait of an elderly Black woman, Sarah Gudger, who was reportedly 121 years old at the time the photo was taken to accompany the narrative she shared with the Federal Writers' Project. Her hair is short and white, her hands are in her lap with her fingers laced together and she is looking into the distance, to the left of the camera (her right). Her tattered shawl is safety-pinned together under her neck.
70+ years after the Civil War, the WPA Federal Writers' Project began interviewing elderly Americans who remembered being enslaved. This collection is at the Library & contains moving narratives & photos. #Juneteenth
