dunno if a "glowdown" is a thing, but a Vampire Survivors sequel transitioning from "cool enemy-filled exploding chaos madness game" to "roguelike deckbuilder" definitely feels like one to me

Seen a few people playing all with different approaches. Some have mass bred bad horses to make competitors weaker, some min/maxed out excellent horses, and some have just bred ~monsters~ because it's just fun to do. At no point does the game try to punish you or really care about what you do in it.

It's easily a situation in design where you could overthink the design, set up a bunch of safeguards to keep you in line, and create something too limiting, but the promise of "just play with this fun little system of a world we made" is strong enough to stand on its own.

Watching a lot of people playing Horsey Game lately. I think it's very cool how it is just a bunch of interlinked systems that doesn't really preoccupied with enforcing a style of play to reach your goal. It just gives you the toys and lets you play.

About a week ago I adjusted the scale and camera height of my player controller because I noticed they weren't fitting through some common doorways

I had yet to test it in multiplayer so...imagine my surprise when I discovered that players are now half the size of the lobby NPCs 😆 #SKRUBSquad

Someone made art of a character and someone else tagged it Ultrakill spoilers. But I was like 'wait I didn't play much of Ultrakill so I guess this character is a spoiler' but otherwise I would've just thought this was a cool character so I guess I got spoiled now???

It's funny when someone tags something as a spoiler but it's not like, something you'd know is a spoiler without having seen all of the thing anyway. Like tagging it as a spoiler manages to come back around and make it a spoiler again.
