Also, of course, this should have said "park", not "part". I cannot abide a typo.

The way you consistently knock these out of the part is awe inspiring.
I was writing something long-winded but instead let me just say this - you are a balm for the spirit in trying times and I am highly appreciative of that.
No no, thank *you*. This shall adorn my finest wall.
Holy wow that Doot in the Night image. I immediately hopped on your site hoping to find a print, to no avail. Is that a thing via some other venue, perchance?
Was this the best time to turn down job offers on Linkedin? Probably not. Did I allow myself to have a bit more fun than usual? Absolutely.
Just got a call from a representative of my most reviled insurance company. There's a ranking.
Had a chance to compare them to Hitler, the Devil and a criminal syndicate so I feel it was a productive call.
While I think I feel fine, I had all sorts of indications yesterday that I might be coming down with something. Ill omens, quite literally.
I wish the human body outputted better metrics. I'd be down with a "check engine" light popping up on my forehead.
Appreciated, though AI was one of the other reasons I ditched Duolingo. I can't be bothered to second guess my tool. It needs to be artisinal and master-crafted.
Nativshark is absolutely the bomb and I cannot recommend it enough.
I have never known so much Japanese in my life.
It's so much better than Duolingo it's not even funny. The main reason being that Duolingo is terrible for languages that are very alien to the ones you already know.
Kids have been on a Spiderman craze lately so of course we just watched Across the Spider-Verse. Man that movie slaps.
Bonus - I now get to try and figure out which part of my setup couldn't quite handle the more visually intense scenes.
Appreciated, but while my steam library is vast I try to buy as many things as I can on GoG. Still workable, I am sure, but I never mind not having to fiddle.
I mean, why would I want to just stand up and go to the kitchen when instead I can say "I want to stand up and go to the kitchen" and hope that happens and I don't end up drowning myself in the toilet instead?
Thanks for the info. I have no doubt this is inevitable and knowing it's not that terrible helps. Also, I guess anything I won't be able to use will be offset by my OS not being a hostile pile of garbage.
Honest question, how much of a hassle was it? I'd never look back but all the things I like to do with a PC are ridiculously easier to run on Windows (mostly games, I'll admit).
I like agreeing with things, and boy do I agree with this: malwaretech.com/2025/08/ever...
Trying to decide if my kids will be delighted or horrified. These are wonderful.
I love how if you make enough changes in your codebase it will look like git is fed up with your shit.
Me: I created a whole bunch of files and moved some older ones around.
Git: $โยป!?
This absolutely exudes CAIN energy. Bravo.
Having mulled it over, the only shortcoming the game has is that none of the bots you can rescue reference God Hand. I hope you appreciate this thrilling epiphany.
A picture of my accumulated Astrobot trophies. It's all of them, you guys. This game is so so *so* good.
One of those games that absolutely deserves it. If Astrobot is a joy you can experience, I implore you to do so.
I don't doubt that you know it, but these are absolutely stunning.
It is physically impossible for me to hear "drag & drop" and not think "ah yes, dragon drop".
What an exhausting time to be alive.
Holy hell those stickers are *fire*.
I friggin' love technology. Who needs eight hours of sleep when instead you can be up losing your marbles over why your AV receiver no longer automatically switches to the appropriate audio decoder.
Ditched these chumps during one of their previous waves of asshattery and couldn't be happier. They really do seem hellbent on going from bad to worse.
For Japanese - I highly recommend Nativshark.
Now I just need to find my kid something good for French. Suggestions are wildly welcome.
Minishoot' Adventure by SoulGame (of which only @severin-soulgame.bsky.social seems to be here) is a metroidvania but also a twin stick shooter. I've never run into that combination in the past, personally, and I assure you the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A tight and enjoyable game.
Two games down through @fellowtraveller.games's "Hits You Missed Megabundle" and both were absolute bangers.
Shogun Showdown by @roboatino.bsky.social is a delightful rogue-like deck-building thing. The decks are very lean and each card (or rather, tile) really pulls its weight.
The secret to laser tag is twofold:
- Shoot everyone
- Be everywhere
