As I draft Thursday’s essay for Authortunities, I’m thinking about participation. Every dollar moves something. I want to be defined not by what I reject, but by what I nourish. Today that's supporting Yanaimi Noise on Bandcamp for mutual aid in Southern California. Link to the album in comments.

That’s the danger that unsettles me.
How do we stay awake?

Corporations are built for extraction.
Ecosystems are built for circulation.
One concentrates value upward.
The other moves it sideways.
I’m less interested in boycotts and more interested in participation.
Today that looks like putting money directly into a local artist’s hands.

Last night I simplified my Space & Time contracts and streamlined the process. This makes me happy and saves all of us a lot of headache, contributors included.
Tiny leaks can sink big ships… and big visions.
Open loops. Unclear roles. Half-promises.
