Nah, too much work

You’re welcome! Thank YOU for writing a book with such a loud, dread inducing ticking clock that I ignored my life until I had finished

Oh yes. We’ve all met that kid. One of the great details they got right was the β€œis he my friend or does he hate me?” thing

Agreed. So subtle and nuanced. So many bully roles are overdone. This was true to life in sickening ways. Brilliant beyond words.

Last rave review goes to YOU - the people I will most likely never have the privilege of meeting in person, the ticket buyers and movie fans who have allowed me to indulge my own day dreams and sometimes bash them into movies…the people I owe everything to. If you see me, say hi so I can say thanks.

Couldn’t agree more - what a way to start the year.

Next rave review: a film called The Plague. Whilst not strictly a horror film, it is tense and unnerving in ways that dig under your skin with barbed hooks. Directed with such confidence by Charlie Polinger and featuring some of - if not THE - best acting from teenagers I’ve ever seen, this one hits

Time for some good reviews. I just finished reading this first rate crime thriller by S.A. Cosby. The whole book is a tense, white-knuckle ride from start to finish. And Cosby delivers a masterclass on how to make your readers be VERY afraid of your villains. Surely a limited series is in the works?

I’m not on script duty, no. James and I are helping shepherd the film but I’m not writing it

I just stopped looking at the news and put on a serial killer documentary to relax.

The original film will always be the best and the rest are afterthoughts

Unfortunately no. Working in the studio system can be a difficult beast and it doesn’t always work out.

Last time I was genuinely paralyzed by being starstruck was when I was in the middle of an obsessive binge watching phase of Mad Men and then literally bumped into Jon Hamm as I was exiting a local restaurant.

Hmmm…John Woo, Tim Burton and Wes Craven

It wasn’t but that’s interesting, I’ll check it out

Very soon. I had them all framed! Hence the wait.

Hmmmm…well, not having lived in Melbourne for twenty years, my choices may be off. I’m gonna go with Terror Twilight on Johnston St and then Mario’s as an old school choice.
