This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

Just randomly saying how important the Mellon Foundation has been to humanities research and pedagogy. That is all.
Monday nightβs #SCOTUS ruling in the Malliotakis cases necessarily expands the Courtβs ability to grant emergency relief in cases coming from *state* courts.
As todayβs bonus βOne Firstβ explains, thatβs both a really big deal and one thatβs based on a deeply disingenuous portrayal of the facts:

Bless @alondra.bsky.social for opening this Pandoraβs box at the end of midterms week
What worries me here is that the people mistaking this for the Batman symbol might actually be all the YOUNGER people on here.
Have we reached the point where Wu-Tang is "music for old people"?
(RZA is 56 now for example, fwiw)
I understand why some people might think the symbol on the left is Batman but if you know what the Wu-Tang clan symbol looks then like you know that this is either a very skillfully-drawn Wu-Tang forever sign or an absolutely terribly-drawn Batman forever sign.
me: is that... batman??? no! silly. wu tang. wu tang forever.
Psyched to be here at Peopling Politics, Bringing the People Back in, a symposium on race, class and inequality in US politics.
Excited to hear some of my longtime intellectual heroes outside of psych like @daniellaurison.bsky.social , @alondra.bsky.social and @povertyscholar.bsky.social
Love this!
I used to dress up integrals in calculus and now I know Iβm not the only one in this racket
I think whether or not you see Batman or the Wu-Tang Clan is a kind of Rorschach test!
