β€œCan we pray for the moms as well? Or just the babies?”

Allie Phillips bravely told a pro-FAILED abortion death penalty bill group her story of fleeing Tennessee for a life-saving abortion

Men tried to intimidate/stop her. She persisted: www.instagram.com/reel/DVuUJfm...

How a High School Librarian in Abilene Fought Back Against Moms for Liberty I entered this profession just as the storm clouds of the current book-banning push were starting to gather; now I’m in the middle of it.

β€œIt isn’t that I’m more afraid of public speaking than death; it is that public speaking feels like it could cause my death. But I do it every month because I am a high school librarian in the state of Texas in times such as these.” πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Apart from the moral repugnance, this is so revealing of how ignorant conservatives are about poverty. Poor people have to think about money ALL THE TIME. They worry constantly about what everything costs, how to substitute one purchase for another, what bill can be put off until payday, etc.

β€œThe works made me think about the limits of mass reproductionβ€”simulating an image or style for the sake of simulation, as artificial technologies do nowβ€”and how that falls short, not only because the results lack imagination but also because they lack effort. β€œ

WATCH β€” @jamestalarico.bsky.social : β€œEvery dollar we spend bombing people in the Middle East is one we’re not spending here at home. We’re always told we don’t have enough money for schools or healthcare or for veterans, but there’s always enough to bomb people on the other side of the world.”

What It Felt Like to Face Combat in the Middle East Everyone experiences fear differently. Here’s what it was like for me.

"I wrote a series of entries in a journal to our two sons, who were then very young. I recorded the thoughts of a soldier, hoping to explain to them what I was doing, thinking, and feeling." That became this book:

There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.

It doesn’t have to be an either or situation. Each has its place.

I recall receiving an email from an aggrieved reader about the poor grammar in one of the books we published.

I asked the reader to be more specific than "poor grammar," and I got an earful about sentences beginning with "And" or "But" or concluding with prepositions.

Prepositions like...

is.

If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite ,,, I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners and shows and good times.

I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ
