A story:
A tiny old man who shuffled inch by inch was helped out the door of our Walgreens by a young customer, a stranger with a face tattoo. He carried the old man’s heavy bag and opened the door to the waiting taxi. It was both the smallest and the largest act: caring for another.
The open door.
Favorite day: Neighborhood cleanup! Big public service, props to Joslyn Castle, Gifford Park and City of Omaha!
Favorite room.
Wish I could post a fragrance. Spring is in the … air but not the 1s and 0s.
Postcard from my neighborhood castle.
A sign.

Go Mavs! 👏
Cmon Omaha! Send St. John’s home!
Dan Barry has long been one of my favorite writers. This is an incredible story. Recommend listening to Sting and Louis Armstrong, linked in the piece.

RIP, Roberta Flack!
This poem was an unexpected gift today. And the NYT rendering was a welcome revisiting of my favorite Humanities class.
Heat wave.
MUst win.
I feel like I know everybody in Omaha until I get on a flight there.
