She made some calculable missteps. However, often American voters make non-rational decisions. This might be prejudice, true--as in not liking Obama because he appears (and is) black. However, social science shows that many perceptions and beliefs are not conscious, yet not malicious per se.

I see some validity with your assessment ("Qualified women...."), but there are plenty of counterexamples: E Warren, C. Rice from the Bush Admin, Sheryl Sandburg of FB, mayors of towns, pastors, school board members, biologists, etc. So KH's femaleness is not necessarily the whole cause, IMHO

Absolutely. We all--from Donald Trump on down to some schmo who couldn't get their ass to the polls--share some responsibility. Harris might only be 20% of the responsibility. But, in my opinion, that's enough so that when she sees all this utter lawlessness, she feels ashamed. IMHO.

They are mostly peaceful, but let's face it they are doing more than simple passive resistance, they are agitating the officers. I get it--they are incensed. They are fearful. They are motivated by crowd dynamics. I'm not saying this justifies brutal treatment, but this isn't truly passive stuff.

On the one hand I agree with you. But it's shortsighted, I'm afraid. A military leader is as likely to be evil in the mind as much as an elected leader, and as susceptible to delusions of grandeur. In fact, it has been a marvel that America has resisted a military coup for so many years.
