Will Ukraine ever forgive the US for betrayal?
Will Ukraine ever forgive the US for betrayal?
President Trump announces that to combat climate change he is facilitating crude oil prices going to $500/barrel.
…and they wonder why I call it Operation Epic FUBAR.
So the nutbar gets the nomination over the creep.
Today’s Republican Party, my friends.
Hegseth keeps saying we are untouchable and invincible and we have total dominance so I don’t know how this could happen.
“My worry is that Trump is leading the Iranian people to slaughter.” —Sen. Chris Murphy warns that urging Iranians to rise up against the regime without a real plan to support them could put civilians directly in danger
"the White House didn't think to prepare for oil supply shocks before starting a war with Iran" is a sentence too impossibly dumb to believe and yet it is the truth
If Russia had planted a sleeper agent in the US with the goal of winning the presidency and driving the US into ruin they could not have done a better job than what Donald Trump is doing
It’s almost like we didn’t think this through.
"Everyone is 12" theory remains undefeated.
At this point, I think there might literally be a 7th grade boy running White House comms.
Trump says he wants to pick the new Iranian leader. Why on earth would the Iranian people want a leader that was picked by pedophile Trump? How is this good for the Iranian people? Why would they want to be a puppet state?
So now both houses of Congress have ratified Operation EPIC FUBAR by rejected the War Powers resolution limiting it.
Now it's a matter of the voters (that would be us) holding these nitwits (almost all of them Republicans) accountable.

Did you know you can shrug and say "No can do boss" when a court orders you to do something
So I guess Ms. Alinejad will be stuck in her safe house (and no sarcasm here, that sucks) because Trump doesn't care about the Iranian people.
Waiting for @bariweiss.skystack.xyz et al to admit they were conned.
Not holding my breath though.

"The exercise in question required ships not to carry any ammunition. Normally, the Dena carries various missiles and guns, including anti-ship missiles. Because the U.S. also took part, it would have been aware that the Dena was unarmed."
Here comes (economic) trouble: standingathwartyellingstop.substack.com/p/job-growth...
Until quite recently, oil and gasoline prices had been a bright spot in the affordability fight, registering modest price declines since Trump took office. But since we bombed Iran, energy costs have risen sharply.
And Trump's "warflation" has just begun.
The fuck kind of answer is this
Also, buy popcorn.
the real problem with indulging comforting populist lies is not the lying, it's that you end up making decisions based on those lies which will explode in your face with very real consequences
American aid has helped save countless Ukrainian lives from brutal and unprovoked invaders, who execute civilians in the streets if not stopped, as we saw in Bucha.
I can only thank those Americans who do not believe it was "stupid" and "for nothing."
The U.S. can unload virtually unlimited firepower on Iran, but Iran can only retaliate against U.S. allies in the region. Under a normal U.S. president, this would be a significant deterrent, but when both the president and Secretary of Defense are sociopaths, that retaliation is meaningless.
Call them warmongers all you like...
...but they are NOT neocons
So vibes then.
I was telling a partner about something I saw at the Supreme Court and he said he was three when that happened and now I am in a mood to thwart and frustrate all youth
He’s lying. He told us after last year strikes on their nuclear facilities that their nuke program was obliterated. That it would never come back or would take years and years. He’s lying. But…duh. He’s always lying.👇
Who got us into "a situation like this?"
Good deal. Trump shouldn't throw a tantrum on Ukraine and Zelenskyy. We need Patriots, but they need our help as well.
Surprise, Ukraine has cards🤷♀️
