If I had a dime for every moment I wanted to shake people outta such behavior, I'd be so, so wealthy.
Fun thing to think about very briefly: who currently has better lawyers, the United States or Nintendo
I almost wanted the POTUS in the movie to push the damn button.
Finally watched the final Mission: Impossible movie and I'm kinda glad I didn't watch it in the theater 'cause it was sooooooooo looooooooooong.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no

To set the scene in my area: a breakfast place we used to go to regularly went berserk posting narcissistic felon campaign signs all over its façade in 2020 and we haven't returned since. It's a pretty right-wing spot we're in so even a small demonstration like F**K TRUMP is a big deal
Shout out to the woman standing at a nearby intersection with a US flag and a giant F**K TRUMP (yes, with the stars in those places 'cause lots of school buses pass by there) sign. Never thought I'd see it in my neck of the woods, but it's a good sign.
That's cold.
This is beautiful. Sorry to hear that it's leaving soon. The noble pigeon is spectacular, but we take it for granted.
These are precarious times for nonfiction publishers. Getting the word out is harder than ever now. I highly recommend that people sign up to receive newsletters and other information directly from the publishers who put out stuff you like. Youβll also hear about bonus discounts and other deals.
*sigh*
Yay, it's back, good ol' GPG.
Also, how do you explain suspicious behavior?
We live in a confusing world.

All this talk of trying to explain the world to your kids reminds me of this...

Kids know bullies when they see them and are tormented by them. There are anti-bullying initiatives in many schools. And to go out in the world and find that one is running this country because he was kinda elected (insert electoral college here) is not giving the young hope for the future. *smh*
First time the felon was elected, I had to tell my son the damn bully won the next morning.
Being a fly on the wall in high school US government classes must be a real joy these days as well.
The fear that nobody's talking about *gestures at the world today* IRL because they may not know what's going on is very real.

Also good is Geraldine Brooks' Nine Parts of Desire and, in more recent times, Azadeh Moaveni's Lipstick Jihad and Honeymoon in Tehran.
Oh, we are COOKED.
As am I. π
Lower right part of Spruce Craft Co butterfly design in progress. Main body of the butterfly itself is nearly complete. Working on radiating colors of rose, blue, black green and yellow going from the body on the left towards the lower right corner of the design.
Moving along. #xstitch
Many of you have probably heard of the absurd plan to build "the wall" through Big Bend National Park. Well, the same day Gnome was fired, the wall plan seems to have been shelved too.
