Realized I haven't posted anything about Top Ten Scary Games You Can Play in Your Head, By Yourself on here. Okay, rectifying that.
It's a book that's real and you should buy it.

Wikipedia edits on John Herdman's wikipedia, showing removal of mention that Canada Soccer's "independent committee informed the parties that Mr. Herdman was found to have committed misconduct under the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Code."

Looking at where recent ex-MLS coaches are, found out someone created a Wikipedia account solely to edit the page for John Herdman.
April 9, 2025 was when news broke that Bayern was considering legal action after Alphonso Davies' knee injury. That day's edits bigged up his legacy - blue/right=new.

Here's my second, about his 2010 SEO strategy and the sports blog he created to try to bury negative results: edithistory.substack.com/p/jeffrey-ep...
Here's the first one I wrote, about my suspicion that he was attempting to edit his own Wikipedia article in 2007 (before he hired people) to remove all negative (and accurate) information about him: edithistory.substack.com/p/did-jeffre...
I've written two things about Jeffrey Epstein, Wikipedia and SEO. I'm seeing a lot of stories saying he used SEO to bury his negative results. I think a more accurate depiction is that he *tried* to do that.
thank you!
Thanks for sharing this! It's pretty crazy. Epstein was Grantland before Grantland.
the full text of "MICHAEL VICK REDEEMED? by Jeffrey Epstein" is reprinted here in case uh anyone was curious edithistory.substack.com/p/jeffrey-ep...
"Wikipedia has become the next target, and a more stubborn one... its contributors are difficult for any particular state to persecute... there's no government funding to cut off or advertisers to boycott. And it's so popular and useful that even highly repressive governments hesitate to block it."
This was a pleasure to write: edithistory.substack.com/p/i-intervie...
I'll stand by it as a good faith bad edit!
This guy edited the new pope's Wikipedia page to say he was a Cubs fanβeveryone was saying it, and there was a source (USA Today) to back it up.
Then the new pope's brother confirmed that Leo has always been a White Sox fan.
Lesson: Verifiability β truth.
