I created a 3D visualization that shows *every* attention weight matrix within GPT-2 as the model generates tokens!

After my post on smuggling arbitrary messages through unicode, some people asked me if AI could decode it. Gemini Flash is pretty fast at it! Have had good luck with Claude too. So far no dice with OpenAI models.

This uses block.github.io/goose/ and forevervm.com

My experiments with unpredictable mediums continue. This image is a single line drawn with a Bic Cristal ballpoint. I greatly prefer the artifacts caused by this type of pen when creating these works. The less reliable, the better!

Had some questions about how these are made. Here's the quick version:

Using a dataset from the city, I pick an area of Manhattan, draw a circle around it, project the building geometries into 2D, remove hidden edges, then generate an SVG for my pen plotter to draw! Each one takes 20-30min to draw!
