I should probably delete this app again for a while. Things happening here lately have made me disgusted to the point of feeling physically ill.

But you're still doing it. You're still calling other trans women attention farmers or accusing us of making the community look bad.
It's good that you're apologising to the person at the centre of this who has been the most harmed but you seem to have no care for the dozens you burned on the way.
I'm sorry you're under a lot of stress right now from the wave of criticism you're facing. But it's happening because you contributed to something really awful. People told you what was going on, and what the consequences would be and you ignored it. You are still treating people like shit about it.
If you can't see the obvious contradiction between feeling able to dismiss trans women's experiences of a guy based on him being on your podcast to defensively distancing yourself from him then you really need to take a break from writing.
You seem to have difficulty understanding words, including your own.
That's quite the change of tone.
A single day between "he can't be transphobic, he was on my podcast" and "I don't even know him!!"
Bringing up the fear of *gasp* unemployment to a bunch of online transsexuals who are likely all some flavor of un or underemployed, or at least have been quite recently, is so craven as to defy reason.
You will never convince me that somebody calling a cis opinion columnist transphobic online is a greater harm than working for a newspaper that is manufacturing consent for multiple crimes against humanity, sorry.
I really hope you do
saying "that guy seems transphobic" is not a massive time sink.
People coming to his defence seem to be spending way more time and effort on it actually.
"he treats a lot of people badly, not solely trans people" is a very weird line of defence that I keep seeing and it's hilariously unconvincing.
It bewilders me that "some trans people don't trust this one cis guy and think his actions are transphobic" is such a controversy even among trans people.
I dont think it's a stretch to see this (and regular behaviour like it) and call it transphobia.
The guy does not have to be doing it does not have to - in his heart - hate every individual trans person in the world for that to be the case.
I thought we all understood that.
a trans woman made a joke about how a guy treats trans people, that got passed up to him like he's the manager of social media, he whined about it and that trans woman got harassed off the site over it.
People are going to keep insisting that UK anti-trans politics is really composed of jilted lefty feminists even as its leaders are literally running as Tory candidates.
Eh fuck it, I'll shoot my shot.
If you need someone to helm voiceover for your project, I pretty much do it all: casting actors, directing recording sessions, helping navigate agencies/unions/etc, you name it.
100% "damn this voice acting's awesome" rate π
Thereβs no excuse for your random cis friends and family not to understand this as an obsessive hate campaign by lying bigots. Whatever anyoneβs opinion on trans people, even the most ardent lunatic cannot deny the existence of people who transitioned decades ago and have yet to βget over itβ.
Jayme Lawson from Sinners hit the nail on the head and said how I felt with the whole BAFTAs situation.
A crow whistles to itself on a bright winter day. It's scratching at the snow with its foot. It sees something blue and plastic sticking out of the snow and says "Hello what's this". It reaches to pick it up with its beak and yanks it out with a "shing!"
The thing is revealed to be a blue bic pen. The crow holds it triumphantly above its head. There is a magic light emanating from the pen which is creating a blue crosshatching effect on the sky.
The crow holds the glorious pen and the words "I AM ARTIST" frame the image.

Tummy troubles
*the horse you rode in on* why am i catching strays?
βtelling an ICE agent to quit? during the worst job market in years?? why thatβs just not reasonable!β
sorry, the only two options are "work at the New York Times" or "never work again and be homeless"
there's no other feasible option. you have to choose
seeing how cis people's egos go to DEFCON 5 when their behavior is criticized by trans people just tells me that they would not last six seconds as one of us
chat they are turning the trans genocide into a customer acquisition marketing campaign
apparently the birb wasn't grumpy enough
if you canβt call a journalist transphobic for working at the new york times then you canβt say itβs fascist to work for ice
I'm not going to get into the weeds but I think it's bad actually when a NYT writer, regardless of who it is, shows their ass a bit regarding a marginalized group and every journo on here decides the best thing to do is stand united in blaming the group for being too rude
I am so sick of the anti-reality that transphobes are trying to force us all to live in.
